Eurogamer had a hands on with the new PSP-3000. They have stated that the PSP-3000 will come with PSP Firmware 4.20 pre-loaded. This firmware will have a USB auto connect option that will automatically start charging the PSP in the XMB when a USB cable is inserted. Also a Colour Space setting has added in the system settings. This allows users to take advantage of the new enhanced LCD screen to display more vivid and brighter colours.

Finally the PSP power adaptor has been revised and is now much smaller. Apparently it will now be able to fit into your pocket!

  • The PSP-3000 is due for release worldwide next week.

    I’m not sure if I’ll be picking one up or not. But then again it was a good thing that I bought a Slim when it launched since people now have trouble modding recent releases. That might be reason enough to get one.

    I was lucky to get a TA-088 Slim that was moddable, when I sold my TA-085 because it had problems.

    I’ll see if this is hackable first, then consider.

    I won’t be bothering with the PSP-3000. I doubt it will be hackable to begin with either.

    I want this new PSP.
    Even though i got slim february this year.
    But only if will be cfw able…

    its already hacked. My friend already has a psp 3000 and shows it off in class. (4.01 m33)

    Do you have proof of this? Are you sure its a psp-3000?

    unless you got Hard evidence with pictures of the PSP itself, and the System screen saying its CFM 4.01 M33, and we can SEE ex the new Home button, Mic, and the actual PSP, its without doubt just a joke from your end to get everyones hopes up.
    PSP-3k is as of now, un-hackable, but without doubt from my end, it will be hacked sooner or later, have faith ;)

    Depends whether its old stock or a new one with a new unhackable motherboard.Its a gamble really you gets what you gets.
