PSNKiller GUI 0.4 and PsnKiller 1.01 Released *Updated*

Updated: 23/3/2010 PSNKiller GUI 0.4 was released.

Remember PSNabler? Since the final was released a while back, KiNgOfUnIvErS has made his own game enabler called PSNKiller. Like PSNabler, PSNKiller enables support for various games that can now be played again over on custom firmware.

One of the best things is it also works with WPA wireless encryption, something the old PSNabler didn’t like. You had to use weak WEP encryption on your wifi router, which isn’t too cool. This latest release (Sorry we missed the first) now includes an easy GUI installer for it makes things even easier for you. Just check the YouTube tutorial posted above if your unsure how to use it.

    I followed the tutorial and it didn’t work… All i get is an error message everytime I click install… I’ve verified the drive letter several times and even selected the old “Run as Administrator” option.

    Too bad… looked good

    Seem to work. I’ve been trying to get online with littlebigplanet for months. This plugin gets me much further along. However, now I’m getting a message that the game needs to be patched, which I cannot do without the UMD apparently (I uhhh… sold my UMD?). Anyone have any idea how to patch this when running of a memory stick?

    So, I’ve done a bit more research, and I’m hoping someone can confirm or correct my findings….

    I found a downloadable version of the Littlebigplanet update file, which is a PBOOT.PBP. I have tried to launch this from a variety of locations on my PSP, but it always shows as corrupted data. I also tried renaming it to eboot.pbp, and this results in the item being properly displayed in the XMB but when I try to launch it, it states there is a corruption problem.

    A little more research and I found someone that states pboot files are only usable in FW ver 6.10+. I am running CFW 5.50 Gen-D3. So based on these findings, am I out of luck until we get 6.x CFW or someone builds a PBOOT launcher?

    Why are there posts like “Wah!/Yay! I have 6.20 firmware!”? This isn’t a post for those seeking custom firmware- it’s for the many Many users with 5.03 GEN-C, and 5.50 GEN-D3.

    Can’t wait to try this out later!

      For people with psp 3000 running 5.03 Gen-C in order to play the games using this psnkiller or psnabler you have to switch to cfw enabler 3.70 (or older not sure though) to create or log-in to account, it’s something I found a while back cause I was trying to use psnabler (which worked for me) and it also works for PSNkiller I played motor storm (w/ people online) and fat princess (w/o people cause no one was on but I could start a server)

      Well I don’t think that they’re going to fix the loggin at least not anytime soon, but what do you mean you put it in flash 1 that could be dangerous lol

    Downgrade to 5.50 GEN-D2
    Login to PSN on 5.50 GEN-D2
    Boot to the recovery console and connect USB on Flash1
    Copy the “registry” folder to your PC
    Upgrade to 5.50 GEN-D3 again
    Boot back to the recovery console and connect USB Flash1
    Copy the “registry” folder that you backed up in step 4 to Flash1 overwriting it
    Try getting online now

    couse me abrick why this shiiit is not work
    do any one try it and have 5.50 gen d3

      hey dude i have gen d-3 on psp 1000 and i didn’t even have to downgrade. if you have an error to update to a newer version then follow the steps to put psnkiller

    So I followed every single step of the tutorial, even the instructions on the ReadMe file to be able to log in through 5.50GEN-D3, but this stuff still doesn’t work… It still asks me for an update… And since PSNAbler doesn’t work on 5.50 GEN-D3… It seems there’s no way to do it…

      Just install the GUI onto your computer then put the letter of your psp drive in and hit the “INSTALL” button nothing else is needed.

      It wasn’t written for the Gen series, anyone telling you it does work for Gen is wrong and didn’t read the support for the Original release of the PSNabler.

    I don’t know if you guys mean logging in while in the XMB but this is what I did I have psp 3000 running 5.03 GEN-C CFW I switched to CFW Enabler 3.70 (might have to disable some plugins so it doesn’t crash depending on the plugins) and then go to the sign in things of the PSN icon or tab in the XMB it should allow you far enough to create or login (try not to reset default settings, it erases the account for some reason)

      oh sorry then you can switch back to the other CFW you had just make sure to properly uninstall and if you use GEN I think you might have to press and hold the L shoulder button to go to the emergency installer cause it might still leave you in 3.70 CFW well at least for me it did lol

    for the ppl with PSN error login with D3 i recomend u to downgrade it 5.00 m33 6 using hell cats flasher

      I’ve never heard of that before hmm I guess just wait a while and then try again if it doesn’t resolve itself maybe it was a corruption with the update that you mentioned in your post try doing the upgrade process again in case you missed a step or something

      in the XMB or during a game because once you login with your psp it technically stays logged in well not really but your account is all set up just play one of the supported games and try to play the online it should go through but you just cant access psn network or shop through XMB this plugins allows you to play the online portion of the games that are supported on the list provided above

    Good job King!! FTB3 doesn’t really need this but its a better version of the PSNabler. I’ll give this a shot. Now I have 3 ways of getting online FTB3 =)

    No one is buying that he made this right, R3D released the source for this and all he did was change a few things. King, I had a feeling you were like this at AIOlab when you first joined the site now it would be nice if you at least did something on your own and not edit some one elses hard work to get some E-Fame…

    Now everyone can see both sides of the story, this kid is and will always be a nub but now it’s public for all to see… Good Job killer lmao..
