PS3Hacks.com Launched!

I’m sure some of you would have noticed by now we recently launched PS3Hacks.com, a site dedicated to the PS3 homebrew scene. As all you PS3 owners would know, back in August the PS jailbreak surfaced. The system was finally cracked and not via otherOS. Everything changed with PS Jailbreak. Now there is a good fifty odd clones that allow you to “Jailbreak” or hack your PS3 and play homebrew. The PS3 Homebrew scene is well and truly established.

Already the PS3 scene has had some great releases. Emulators like SNESx9 for PS3 and Final Burn Alpha X (Arcade machine emulator). And PS3 ports like PS3 DOOM. Plenty of other emulators, homebrew apps and games are currently being worked on. Its only a matter of time before the PS3 will have a huge range of homebrew to choose from like the PSP.

    This is nice BUT if people make programs like nitePR for PS3. Then I see it going downhill. Bought me a PS3 finally on Black Friday, and I love my 360 still because of instant bans. I just hope people use W/E CFW comes out just for homebrew ONLY and not take on the immature adolescent pretense and go hack crazy online. And if pirating gets as big as the PSP, game developer will pull the plug. Its been done, and WILL happen again. If you do get CFW for your PS3, just be mature about it, and don’t ruin PS3 gaming for others.

      I wish there was a way to like this. I say sony should allow homebrewbut not piracy. Theres gotta be a way to just block piracy and it would cut down on the amount of hackers

        Solution is a NON-USB device…….not many people had the skill to hack the Gameboy…it needed to be Hard mod. I think it was like MANY years later until it was soft mod, by that time Gameboy was dying out. USB and Bluray/ CD burners are the gateway to CFW.

      Cheaters will ruin PSN, they have for me anyway when it comes to the PSP. At this stage no hacked PS3′s can enter PSN. I hope it stays this way.

      Ideally, Sony need a Homebrew system, where the average joe could make there own games and applications. Not have to submit to there whole PS developer system and pay X amount to Sony. The little guys can’t do this and its just a hobby to them not a business venture.

    ya but the lack of cfw and ps3 hacks is the real reason for lack of trafficing on site.
    if advancements in ps3 were like our beloved psp then see what happens!!

    Sony should let NASA design security for their devices. Then only the famous hackers who are in jail right now, would MAYBE breach 1% of the security.

    dude corelation between jailed/ caught hackers and good hackers is inversely proportional —> in other words really good hacker nvr gets caught

      Well must not be that many good hackers who haven’t been caught then, since the people who work with my aunt at Langley(hope you know what that is) keep catching them on a daily basis. And usually the govn hires the best hackers that do get caught.
