PS Vita Firmware 1.69 launched and patches the Super Collapse 3 exploit

I’m only going to say this once, If you like playing with your homebrew apps/games then do NOT upgrade, on the other hand you can the and have no new features or, anything new at all besides patching Super Collapse for the new then . Choice Is yours. I for one do not have a anymore, but will soon get another one and I do plan to upgrade the firmware, and I will keep upgrading until I get some new homebrew features other then playing Mario on a high end handheld. This update will be optional and “improves software stability” “just a minor update” implied.

Is still contemplating on getting together with the other devs and creating a new revision with new features.

    Can you still access PSN? With some updates, you didn’t need it and you could still connect.

      This Is just a optional update. Still has PSN service on the 1.67 firmware.

    Is there any other hack out there that works on 1.67 other than super collapse 3? I sadly bought my vita right after sony pulled it so I am unable to enjoy homebrew, anyone help?

    I do agree with homebrew scene, but not with ISO loaders, if it happens soon, may kill the platform that is in competition with powerful smartphones and portables around. A good sense of not releasing a ISO loader could make a open software a reality.

    I know that smartphones is far from a dedicated gaming device, but the convenience and now with sony releasing the Playstation Mobile to Android. Things is different in people mind.

    I’m not swimming into money, and games is sometimes expensive., but is worth to buy “one” game time in time, and enjoy it to the bones, than a dead platform due lack of investment.

       I feel ya bro, I’m In the same boat. Playstation VIta will be “effed” In the “A” If a ISO loader will be released. I’m so glad that they haven’t so far. PS3 wasn’t so bad tho. Online was not that bad tho Sony did a good job of keeping the hackers out. So I couldn’t complain to much lol.

       I for one have hacked the PS3 and have gotten maybe 15 games for free. But you have to realize that getting the games you like illegally can cost you. It could get you into legal trouble like Geohotz. I’m not saying that bad of trouble but If you get into the habit you could get yourself into extreme trouble. Think before you act. Piracy Isn’t a joke. Think about It. Megaupload.com went down and has been prosecuted. The owner had a mansion and enough cars to make there own dealership!.

      These guys were stupid for not keeping track of people uploading pirated content and yet sharing it to the public. lol

      To be honest the PS Vita is a POS. It’s just another way for sony to try and wring money out of people and having to repurchase your games in ‘vita versions’ is just another example of that. If the vita went bust to be quite honest I would not care.

    I Think Sony Is Just Being to Greedy, How Much Money Do They Make Just Selling The Console Alone?? WOW!! Who Care’s If You Wanna Run a Backup Game?? To ME Sony Shouldn’t Care What You Do with Your Console, Blocking and Updating against it, if they were no homebrews most consoles would not even make it($$$). people get motivate and wanting to learn and know more about the console and The Gaming Scene, I Personally Buy alot of games, but the idea of being able to TRY the game before i buy it is not bad. i end up trading games in for not even 1/4 of what I paid, and now they want to ban trade ins!!??wow They are just being greedy , thats My Opinion…

    Dedicated sony fan here, The vita is a work horse in it’s already locked down box. Stop fucking Sony because of crap like this people like my self lose adobe. Adobe blames sony for hackers. We will lose sony if a loader comes out and takes out a nother system. The nintendo wii should be the only peice of junk to add crap like that to. I dont want to loose a system that hasnt flowerd yet.
