After yesterdays first signed PSP homebrew bbtgp has released PrxEncrypter. Its a tool that can sign any . Its has already been tested to sign a simple hello world that worked on the fat, Slim and Bright. This is for user mode only at this stage. So no signing ISO loaders or Custom Firmware.

modded build.mak and included sample. Set ENCRYPT=1 in the makefile for other programs to encrypt them

    According to Wololo, you unpack the EBOOT, sign the PRX then Repack the EBOOT.

    Ill try it out later.

      but it cant sign a iso loader or a hen,.,.

    on another forum people think we dont need hens or cfw any more when total noob unlocks the 50 extra mbs on the psp it will be great for emulators in a way we still need cfw or hen to have or psp as custom as possible.

    I would like some steps on how do run this, I have tried to run it. I have Win7 64 and it may be why it isn’t working, I have even tried to run it in compatibility mode, no luck…….

    hey guys try this:
    convert an ISO game to EBOOT with openidea iso loader v1, then sign the eboot and run the eboot from the OFW
    It worked for me :)

      Hmm… Guess Ill try that, think it’ll work with PSX games? I need CWCHEAT for one of my PSX games, unfortunately it doesn’t work with official PSOne Classics I got from the PSN store.

        Based on the source and discussions in the thread:
        1) extract the prx from the Eboot (you can use PBP unpacker to get the data.psp, and I believe data.psp is the prx you need, not entirely sure anymore, there might be an additional header to remove?)
        2) run prxEncrypter.exe on the prx
        3) re-pack the Eboot with pack-pbp

      this doesnt work. tried it with angry birds and it booted, then gave me a black screen. please dont lie lol

        yeah i know what homebrew means but i was talking about the method that HaHaHa_psp said about converting the iso to an eboot and encrypting it. that will not work

      i’ve tried that, however when i repack the eboot it becomes very small compared to the original….i did it with tekken 6 and the eboot was 800 sumthing mb then after unpacking signing and repacking it became approx 5 mb. i dont have my psp now but please tell me whats wrong there cuz i’m sure that that would not run

        yea that happened to me to :) try with another game it should work, it worked perfectly(with a little bugs)on gta vcs

      You shouldn’t lie because i just got done with trying it the only thing it does is corrupt the eboot and ISO. it doesn’t work and you can sen me a video on how to do it when you respond i will know

    for people that dont know how to use it, download pbp unpacker, extract all files from the eboot.pbp from your homebrew. drag the data.psp to the prxencrypter and drop it. after that rebuild the eboot with pbp unpacker.
    at least i think thats how you do it. ive tried a couple homebrew and it boots but takes me back to the xmb

    wow this is sad for sony to let us take advantage of their product like tht i think they r stil in the clcoud with psp2 or the psp phone lol
    (running psp 3000 5.03 prom2 (downgraded with tn hen b w00t)) i may upgrade if u can run 5.03 hen on this….(waiting for progress for tht…)

    hey guys i tried it but it but it gives me a message that the file is too big and i also tried what HaHaHa_psp said and the same thing the file is too big please lemme know if yall get one working or any other instructions

      telling people things like that is fucken stupid and childish, some people may actually do it . i watched a video on people actually thinking you can recharge your psp with a potato… so if you have nothing good to say keep it to yourself because some people are stupid enough to actually do it.

      Shut ur stupid this is the best thing that happened to the psp scene and plus most psp games are crap anyhow . I love being able to play homebrew and psx games that I already purchased. There’s way to much money in games to companies to stop producing them so eat

    how do u get it to work on Windows 7 x64?
    i click prxEncrypter.exe and it shows command prompt for half a second, then it closes…
    any help?

      just drag your eboot to prxEncrypter.exe and it will do the rest…just wait for the data.psp to pop inside the folder where your eboot is.

    Excuse for being an idiot, but could someone not write homebrew that mimics the ‘Sukkiri (Demo) Exploit’ and then sign it, to allow HEN etc to load? I’d be happy with a quicker way to load a ram-resident custom firmware.

      Its already been written. If someone would just Sign HBL then the TN-Hen could be started / use its kernel hack and load the Hen direct from XBL.

    Instructions for running on Win7 x64 bit:
    ON AN ADMIN ACCOUNT use PBP unpacker and find data.psp
    drag this file ONTO prxencrypter.
    repack pbp
    voila

    Does anyone else think they should just keep this at the user homebrew level? I myself won’t be happy if they allow iso loaders and hen to be signed, at least until the psp2 is out.

    i signed the games, and they worked, but everytime i launch it, the gameboot, then the pspgo is just black, but its on, but its frozen, and it doesnt even restart unless i hold the power for 10 seconds. What is your method/device?

    i used da pbp unpacker 2 unpck da homebrew eboot file, den i placd da xtractd files 2 lib foldr which contiains da build.mak file. den aftr runin da build.mak file with da prometheus exe file, i got a .psp file. i repackd da xtractd files with da new .psp file nd got a new eboot file. den i rplacd da new eboot on da old one nd put in da game folder of my psp. den i tried 2 run da homebrew in my psp xmb but da game cud not start.

    If it possible to sign PSX/PSP EBOOTs there is one thing that you forget – the requirement of a license (.rif) file, else PSP OFWs reject the game as having incorrect copyright information.

    the scene is looking good eventually all the hombrew will be sighned…….. but the psp scene woulds have to be rebuilt if we want every homebrew sighned im just saying…….what im doing now is making a perminent sighned cfw an let total noob or someone work to get all the hombrews sighned ill post the link in a comment when im done making a sighned cfw
