Prometheus-3 for CFW 5.00 M33 Released.

Update: -3 (v2) has just been released by to fix the booting back to the XMB issue.

Being a simultaneous release Liquidzigong has a version of Prometheus-3 for you die-hard 5.00 M33 users. Like the 5.03 and 5.50 Prometheus-3 releases. Custom Firmware 5.00 Prometheus-3 lets you run the latest 6.30/6.31 games on your older fabled 5.00 M33 CFW.

Just run the installer from PSP/GAME/ and hit X, your 5.00 M33 installation is now set up to run 6.30/6.31 OFW games. Liquidzigong comments, “Think of it as an unofficial -7″

Custom Firmware 5.00 Prometheus-3 changelog:

Improves the compatibility of CF with the latest games that require the official firmware 6.30/6.31

    Is this one like : M33-Prometheus Installer ? or Better ?
    Because I’m using M33-Prometheus Installer, and it’s working very good But some games doesn’t work and some games hang.
    And about the save data it will be corrupted if i use it ?
    Please anyone inform me.

    i use m33-6 and nothing else
    and yea Prometheus is cool but it changes the version name m33-6 to Prome-3 thats the only thing I DON’T like about it I want it to remain m33-6 because once you change the firmwares name its not the same

    so if you could make it a patch for the firmware and not a new firmware it self that would be cool
    cause removing Dark_Alex’s firmware name “M33″ to “Prome” thin well is not M33 anymore
    its Prome

    But I do got to say

    GOOD WORK REALLY good work it works vary well
    but it took me pride of being a M33 user so back to M33 for me

    i just got a new psp “New to me” a PSP 1001 Fat w/ CFW
    for $5 how cool is that!!
    But it only has 2 problem a missing part the “MS-299″ and one of those is like up to $15
    online so that’s a real steel for only $20
    the other problem is that the CFW is “5.50 Gen-D2″
    so soon as that part comes in im going to put 5.00 M33 on it

    Heh. Downgrading from GEN is easy. ;-) Just use the latest version of Hellcat’s Recovery Flasher with a 5.00 EBOOT. It’ll automatically flash 5.00 M33-6 for you. It also works for those that decided to try out the 6.35 Custom firmware, even though HRF gives you warning errors as it boots.

    its not working, I have 5.00m33 and this prometheus require m33-6 ( it’s display when I run the installer )

    I’ve got a PSP-1004 with cfw 5.00 M33-6, have downloaded and installed Prometheus-3 (v2), but nothing happens. Still says System Software 5.00 M33-6. And can’t play EyePet, game says “The system software of your PSP system is version 5.00. To start, you must update to version 6.31 or later.”

    Is there anything else I can try to fix this please?

      I have the same problem. When I run the Prometheus-3 (v2) it appears to install correctly but nothing changes after reboot. Can anyone help?
