Persona 4 Golden coming to Vita
This week’s copy of the Japanese game magazine Famitsu revealed some exciting news for the Persona fans. Besides the Persona 4 Fighter announcement and the information on Persona 5, the magazine revealed that PSVita version of PS2′s Persona 4 is in development. The game name is “Persona 4 Golden” and is going to be on the store shelves in the spring. The game, however, won’t be a direct port and will feature some new stuff :
- The game will use the 3G and Wifi.
- The game will include new scenes, new anime movie scenes with new voices, new song for the opening movie as well as “an element that has been highly requested by fans”.
- New character Marie, voiced by Kana Hanazawa, was added. She’s a “mysterious girl” who appears before the main characters.
- Added Personas and character outfits.
- When you’re about to die in a dungeon, you can send a message seeking help to other players. It’s not specified how this system will work exactly.
- 1.5 times the voice of the PS2 original
Katsura Hashino revealed to the magazine that initially the game was planned for the PSP but it soon turned out that cuts from the original version must have been made. Instead developers moved on the Vita and now the game will include big improvements over the original PS2 version.
