PC based PSP Emulator JPCSP v02

PC java based PSP Emulator v02 - 1064.

JPCSP.org have released another new build of their Java PSP Emulator. Revision 1064 bringsa few tweaks and bug fixes to the emulator.

Changelog:

r1064 added io ctl cmd 0×01010005 (umd file seek set, issue 88)
r1063 Fixed interpretation of Z for 2D Vertex, tested with 2DStudio.
r1062 sceIoPollAsync() should yield in all cases to allow the async IO to complete (completes only on thread switch).
r1061 Fixed “ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: Sector number 126031 out of bounds.” (Issue 74).
r1060 -Implemented VUC2I, VC2I, VUS2I, VS2I – Fixed VH2F – Fixed disasm of VFPU Instructions currently implemented

    Eh…great concept with this. However, it has been a work in progress for quite some time, and there isn’t much improvement. Still only running 2 fps with higher end games.

        1.Cry me a river. Lots of who people use say “this is so gay” have nothing against homosexuals. If you think just using that phrase makes him/her homophobic or ignorant, then YOU are the ignorant one.

        2.When someone says “this is so retarded” or “this is so dumb”, do you go all PC on them and call them ignorant for insulting dumb people? No? Then you’re a hypocrite.

        3.If your answer to my previous point is “but being dumb is a flaw, being homosexual isn’t” then I will tell you that that is just you OPINION, and that just because someone considers homosexuality a flaw, that doesn’t necessarily make him of her homophobic (s/he has to hate gay people to be homophobic). I mean, most people considers disability, infertility, etc, to be flaws, yet that doesn’t mean that they hate those who are disabled, infertile, etc.

    forget about ChickHEN! i tried running in ChickHEN mode on my psp and it crashed many times. So i decided to hardmod, the easy option.

      i took a look at this program to see what you were talking about. two things you should know.
      A) this is a java based program that is being ran from a java machine on the computer. its not a nomral windows executable progrma.

      B)this is a progam in is coded form. in order to run the program you would first need to have the java sdk installed on your computer and then you would need to compile the program. and run it in the java machine that came with the sdk.

      I have done this for some years since im not fully sure of what the exact process is but you will need to do these things. also read the read me that came with the program

        Thx akai7062, so what i understood from what u said is that, basically you need to have experience in JAVA coding/compiling and that you cant jst auto-run like .exe. BUT, why couldnt
        JPCSP compile it and then upload the revision(s) themselves instead of uploading half complete files. Wouldnt it make sense ? that way people that dont have experience in JAVA compiling dont have to go through all the trouble and they have the convenience of “DOWNLOAD then RUN), instead of
        —DOWNLOAD —- OPEN —- README — GO THROUGH HARDCORE CONFUSING NOTES— COMPILE —– THEN RUN.

        LOL may be going too far with this comment, but you get my point, could some one please reply (and dont go ‘Super Sayin’ doing a Kamehameha on me) :D

        Nope you do not need SDK just the JRE. It is already compiled. See the JAR file which is the executable. If you install the lates Java Runtime Environment you should be able to run it

      Dude, there are warnings everywhere not to use anything that touches the flash…..I guess people learn the hard way. You’ll just have to sit tight till a unbricker solution is released for PSP-3000′s if ever…

    Don’t be selfish. This site isn’t just about hacking the PSP3000. If there were news about the R3 then it would be posted. I am wondering why you even bother going to this topic just to whine about R3 news.

    Being able to play PSP games in the PC would be great as you can test the games first before putting it in your psp.

    And to those who don’t know how to run it. It is written in JAVA so there are no exes. The executable would be .jar file and you have to install Java runtime environment (java.sun.com) to be able to run it

    Ok all i can say is your all idiots, this is a psp emulator coded in java as a proof of concept to prove that java is capable of programs like this, as for the questions if your getting file format not supported then its because the game is encrypted and your basically screwed as the emu doesnt support encrypted umds and as far as i know neither does anything else on the pc for now, you can use either cso or iso files it will work with both, goto into the options and select the directory where your iso/cso files are stored then goto file and select load umd and you will get a list of games, click the one you want to try wait a few seconds then click the run button and keep your fingers crossed. as its a work in progress dont expect to much but games like tales of eternia work really good, if you dont like the emulator then fine but people have put alot of hard work into this just to get this far and reading comments from morons saying its crap, gay, stupid or moaning about R3 just pisses them off and puts them off progressing further.

    hi, i have dled (downloaded) this and extracted it. i have the lastest jre but cannot get this to run. when i double click the .jar file nothing happens. could this be because i am running vista?

    game hardly run at 1.5 FPS…this need huge improvement…i thought i could save 300$+ by not buying a PSP…guess i thought wrong…*sigh*

    oh, also, i need as much info on flash, memory and why the f**k i cant watch vids online for the psp SLIM. i updated to 5.51….do i need to downgrade or am i just missing the 1 webpage that tells me EVERYTHING! i have 6 days to get this working the way i want before i go under the knife…someone have a heart for a poor ignorant NOOB (that would be me.)
