NewSlide. Change the PSP Go slide function

Share

Updated: version two released which now check the memory card status.

An entry in the PSP Genesis Comp, Afrothunder brings us a new plug-in that lets users replace the default slide function with something else. So when you close the slide, it will automatically start an from the location ef0:/NEWSLIDE/.. The default eboot used is this new clock as seen above. But you could run any eboot.

Dev notes:

NewSlide is a plugin that allows one to replace the slide function of his or her PSPgo unit.
Upon closing the screen NewSlide will automatically start an EBOOT from the location ef0:/NEWSLIDE/EBOOT.PBP.

NewSlide ships with a default launch EBOOT that utilizes the ’s web browser to show a custom clock.
The web browser has a settings.ini file that allows the user to change some settings, such as the page that is loaded.
This web browser will by default exit back to the XMB when the screen is opened, but this may be changed.

NewSlide has been tested on 6.20 but it should work on newer firmwares.

If you had an eboot that could launch a short movie, yes

like what eboot would you want to run when you close the slide? a diffret looking clock? lol

It’s not so much about what you could run, just the fact it can be done. I think it’s pretty cool, myself.

This is just a thought, it would be so cool if this person could make this plug-in for the older PSP’s. I mean like if, and, or, only on the XMB, when you lock your PSP with that switch on the right hand side of the PSP, it plays an EBOOT. Like a short animation playing over and over again, or something simple like a clock telling the time, or the date (a calender like display) But since the battery life sucks so bad, the plug-in could also dim the back light (you can mess with that in the settings) Again this was just a thought, I would do something like this, but im not a programmer of any kinda. . . . :/

I forgot to add that it lowers the CPU, again because of the battery. .
