Sony has announced a 2200mAh Extended Life Battery Kit for the PSP-2000. These batteries will increase the performance of your PSP by 80%.
The size of this battery is bigger than the normal ones, so it will stick out on your slim. This is why Sony have included two battery covers for the Piano Black and Icy Silver systems. If you have the original PSP, this will work as well.
The kit will be available in mid-December for $44.99. I am assuming this is for the US.

Bah, why would I want half of my PSP slim sticking out the back, itll feel horrible and uneven to play. Might as well buy a couple of regular sized batteries (which should, naturally go down in price after this comes out anyway).

The bulge makes it more comfortable, IMO.

Its not much of a bulge at all. 5mm if that sir.

I say that extra bump is worth the extra hours. I mean 80% battery life is great. That would mean like 13+ hours of PSP time. Surely then it could compete with a DS ??

I let Sega Rally run a race-replay continuously, minimum brightness, half volume — 10h 27m. I’m okay with that.
