MVSPSP: Neo Geo MVS Emulator
Finally some new emulator PSP news… Davex has released his unofficial edited version of NJ’s Neo Geo MVS (SNK) arcade emulator. Davex has tweaked it a bit so that you can have cheat support without requiring a UNIBIOS. Davex puts it best:
Strictly speaking, since NJ added support to the Universal BIOS (UNIBIOS), MVSPSP has been with cheat support. But UNIBIOS support requires raster effects enabled, which may cause graphical errors and performance issues in some cases.
This Unofficial Work in progress MVSPSP version adds cheat support without requiring UNIBIOS. Also adds support to UNIBIOS version 2.3 if you prefer.
So if you want the UNIBIOS you can download that here at the Universal BIOS home

Love the cheat system, most of the cheats I want were already inputted into the database.
Games run quickly.
Menus are simple and easy to follow.
No bugs so far for the most part.
The metal slug 3, 4, and 5 roms are not working, not the emulator’s fault, but they do work on the Nebula arcade machine emulator. I’ll run a test on the other available “perfect” neo geo emulator.

So this is only for slim so far? any word if it may be fat compatible in the future? When loaded it tells me it need to be run in a slim and with 3.71 or higher firmware.

Yeah same here as maddox. It didnt’ work for me, and I even tried a version out there that was for the fat psp (on psphacks), and I received the same message. I tried using alternate older emulators (with two folders… one with the % symbol and one not), and still no luck. Not sure why, but neo geo seems to not want to run on my psp..

does not work on PSP 3000 with cfw… i believe its the way the cfw works when its ‘flashed’ to the memory, which is diff to previous models.. ie psp 1000 – psp 2000
