Looks like N00bz! have called it quits with there eLoader…Its a shame but well as he put it there is no need for it now with the TIFF exploit on the way. Here’s Fanjita statement off the noobz website.

On the one hand, I have to congratulate MaTiAz and Davee for their recent excellent work on the TIFF exploit and HEN. Their project is exciting, and I’m sure we’re all waiting with excitement for their upcoming release. It shows that the PSP homebrew scene has not been defeated by Sony’s latest efforts, and long may the spirit of competition continue. It’s also nice to see so much cooperation within the community. Great stuff.

But on the other hand, this obsoletes the work we were doing on an eLoader for the GripShift exploit – there’s no need for it, since the TIFF exploit should work on all PSPs, with or without the game. We’ve worked hard on it, but so many busy events in our lives (parenting, moving house, pressures of work in the current economic climate) have meant that progress was slower than we’d hoped.

    It seems that whenever a new hack for the psp is about to be released they just quit or never release it. It is getting me mad. Now WE HAVE TO WAIT EVEN LONGER?!!!!!!! We were supposed to get a hack today on tuesday, then he decides not to release it? What difference would it make if he releases it or not if he just quits on it?

    well … i for one am in the same boat … im pretty dissapointed on how this was handled … by everyone being hungry for the damn hen … to how they just said … economic times are rough … we cant do it …. just doesnt add up … ive never heard an excuse like that before. If its truely the case, and family is getting in the way … its understandable … but say “it’ll be released later on” … not just “i quit” … i dunno … sounds fishy to me …

    You know I bet Noobz would have integrated iso/cso support and may have made the mass piraters happy.

    Although I respect Noobz and their work done on pandora battery and many psp projects I’m glad ISO/CSO support has been cancelled out. Though I would have personally preferred if they did release their project.

    This way m33 would be supported, nevertheless I expect HEN to be a great release, I’m just old schooled and like to stick with older firmwares.

    I guess that sucks but personally I think the tiff exploit is a lot better than whatever noobz would have done.
    Even if they did finish the eLoader, most people would have used matiaz’s exploit insted because it is a lot easier and you don’t need gripshift.

    i did get pissed when i found out it was delayd
    but just remember
    “Where theres consoles, Theres hackers”
    and as far as i know there is no console that hasn’t
    been un-hacked

    i agree with you Dragoneon i am getting mad over all the hacks being delayed. I wonder what hapened to the gripshift hack. I thought it was ready for release then all talk about it just dissapeared
