Muramasa Rebirth out for PS Vita
Game publisher Aksys Games has released its latest action packed RPG title, Muramasa Rebirth, for PlayStation Vita. Its is now available on PlayStation Network as well as a limited “Muramasa Rebirth: Blessing of Amitahba Collector’s Edition! The game features Japanese voice while the English subtitles are also available.
Created by developer Vanillaware, the game features two storylines. Players can choose follow Momohime, a princess possessed by an evil spirit, and journey west battling demons; or follow Kisuke, a ninja who has lost his memory, and travel east in search of the demon blades. Players can also search and forge new deadly weapons and build an inventory of up to 108 blades. Each blade has a unique special ability.
Furthermore, Aksys has announced that additional characters will be available for purchase via DLC. The extra characters allow for an additional four scenarios to be added to Muramasa Rebirth.
There are also two combat modes for the even-more hardcore. Legend and Chaos modes can be toggled at the beginning of every play session. Legend is a much simpler experience that allows players to simply move around and mash Square–Momohime and Kisuke will automatically reflect most attacks and projectiles from any direction and attack simultaneously as long as Square is pressed at the proper time. While in the Chaos game mode, you will have to aim in the direction of the projectiles and press Square in order to deflect them.
