Mr Alligator has released Modo 2011. Its a simple mod player for your PSP. Mod trackers aka chiptunes on your PSP. Trackers SID, MOD, MTM, S3M, STM and XM module format SID. It also play C64, SPC (SNES sound files) and GBS (Gameboy sound files). This application also comes with a sleep feature and adjustable CPU clock speeds depending on music format played.

    • Trackers: 669, IT, MED (only MMD1), MOD, MTM, S3M, STM and XM module format.
    • C64: SID and MUS (HVSC song length database support)
    • Atari ST: YM, SNDH and SC68
    • SPC (Snes)
    • GYM & VGMz (Sega Master System / Sega Genesis aka Mega Drive / some derivats)
    • GBS (Gameboy)
    • NSF & NSFe (Nes)
    • AY (Spectrum / Amstrad CPC)
    • SAP (Atari XL)
    • Modern: Vorbis/Ogg and MP3
  • Sleep timer
  • Adjust clock setting from 80 to 222Mhz (depends on playback format)

    Yes, I want to listen to the balloon fight theme over and over and over and over….. I wish someone would make something that looks like windows media player with awesome visualizer things which I could listen to music with, but I’m sure some people will enjoy this and I thank Mr. Alligator for taking the time to make something for the psp. =3 and thank you PSPFan for so frigging awesome and bringing me psp news everyday =D

    well this is one of those things u take a pause stop think and say: im sure my friends would love to hear gameboy sound tracks to kill there ears..lol…(i shhould do that but i dont wanna get atked by angry mob…lol)…but i hav one question dose it work on hen? even if i never use it it may come in handy one day….

    At least it can play mp3′s while underclocking the CPU to conserve battery live….

    it would be cool and far more useful if it could play .aac .flac .ape and such codecs…that would rule!

    That’s great, I love chiptune. But I am curious how and where do you get MOD files? All the music I ever encountered were MP3, OGG or FLAC.

      Tested working fine on my PSP 6.38 ME. A lot of free chiptunes work with it. “MODPlug Central” and “The Mod Archive” are good sources for legit stuff. 8-bit on! B)
