Minna no Sukkiri Firmware 6.35 exploit and HBL port released!
Jeerum has released a Firmware 6.35 exploit for Demo: Minna no Sukkiri aka Everybody’s Sukkiri. Its apparently something he shouldn’t have done…(more on that below). The exploit, which many other PSP coders (including including Darxploit, Flyer, minomushi, and PSH’s very own some1) had found and had been developing in secret, was simultaneously being ported to the HBL by some1, JJS and the other HBL developers and has also been released. Great news for users on 6.35 that don’t have Hot Shots Golf, although it comes with a price. However, anyone can use this as its a demo!
As I said this shouldn’t have been released and there has been some drama over this release, I quote Wololo:
I had written a long explanation on how stupid this leak release was, but then realized that such drama is mostly useless. Let’s just say that Sony will patch both the Hen and this exploit in their next firmware, while everybody already knew that TN had been working on “something” on 6.35 involving a VSH exploit. Well, at least he won’t have to waste this one…
Thumbs down to Jeerum for releasing this now. Man, had you waited a few weeks after Sony’s next firmware, you’d have been in a much better position.
Some1 and JJS have a port of HBL ready for this exploit, we will most likely release it asap but I need to synchronize with other HBL devs.
Oh, and for those who ask, this was pretty much the only known Demo exploit, at least until we can start investigate on Demos that require 6.xx. And trust me, we looked hard.
Thanks to some1, JJS and all the other exploit hunters and HBL developers for this release.
Side note: I apologize for the delay in getting this exploit news out. As it is I’m trapped in London as my flight was canceled due to the snow in the UK. I post this from my crap hotel in London. If anyone is in the same boat as me, good luck getting out of LHR! This big freeze is a real inconvenience….
