Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker English Demo Released

Reports are just in that has been released via PSN in Hong Kong. The demo is reported to indeed be working on 5.50 GEN-D3 and 5.03 GEN-C so thats all good. And its a decent demo too, four demo missions to play and has ad-hoc connectivity. Open the rar file and move the NPHH00145 folder to your PSP/GAME/ folder. Disable any plug-ins and if your using Game Categories. Place this folder outside an CAT_ folders. Tested and working on Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3 final.

I managed to get this to work with my plug-ins enabled on my PSP-2000 TA-85 running Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3 Final. Works with RemoteJoy no problem. Awesome game and I will be buying this one when its released for sure.

      God Eater demo still doesn’t work on the latest full GEN or GEN HEN iirc, but yeah MGS:PW English demo works fine on them :)

    I can confirm it works on PSP-3000 with 5.03 GEN-B. I haven’t upgraded to GEN-C yet.

    Turn off ALL your plug ins and try again.

      in your GAME.txt and VSH.txt
      if it has a “1″ change it to “0″
      Then restart your PSP.

    Tested and working on Gen-C
    BUT
    if you use the game catagories addon, you have to put the eboot folder in the root of the /GAMES directory. anywhere else, and it wont work. i guess this game does some checking

    First the game didint want to start (error 80ect ect) on my slim psp 2004 GEN-D3 Final

    and then go to recovery menu-advance then advance configuration and game plugins was enabled by deafult so a disable it and after that demo works fine yay im sooo happy nowwww looks sicky beautifull

    It works on Gen-c heres how

    Go in vsh menu by pressing select then go to recovery menu then cpu speed then disable all your plugins but if u like me and uses sedna plugin u can leave that on then reboot psp from vsh menu and enjoy your game

    i advise u use sedna plugin so your psp wont come off when u reboot it

    i deleted my seplugins folder. rebooted my psp. installed gen-c(full) but still i cant start the game. it says i need 6.20 and 5.03 is no good.. what do i do???

    Guys if you installed Gen C just follow Onlyhack’s instruction… Thats guaranteed to work!!

    There’s a patched version around the WEB that is working also on M33!

    no luck for me so far…the game ask me a update even if I disable all the plugin in the recovery menu from my 3000 exept Sedna…

    what did you guys do when you install Gen-C?? did you use gen-a then gen-b then gen-c to install it?? Do you got something extra install on your psp or whatever?

    anyway i really want to play that game…if someone found something tell us!

      Yeah, I am. Press select to open up the VSH menu, then choose the Recovery Menu. From there go to advance settings then turn the plugins off, that’s all

    It wont run on my psp 2000 (not sure what mobo I have but i used chickHen and it didnt brick) I have 5.50 Gen-D3 installed and I went into the boot menu and disabled the only pops plugin I have and it still wont run I get a 8……. error message. It shows a warning then the 8……… message pops up (I guess thats for when your trying to run a legit game on homebrew software) I have m33 driver enabled btw do I need something else?

    I got a FAT PSP 1001 running D-3 final and it works fine for me without messing with any plugins.

    u guys can try uninstalling it then reinstall it and when chickhen is activated u can go straight to gen-c without going to a and b , i install it when i was on gen-b by holding down L then the menu came up then press x and that was it but when your psp comes off fully u go to gen-c straight after u load up hen

    and to uninstall gen download a m33 custom firmware enabler like 3.60 , then put it on your psp, then take off your psp then load up hen, then go in the custom firmware enabler 3.60 or whatever version u download u will see a option call uninstall click it and it will uninstall then when thats finish go in gen then press x when menu comes up

    i have uploaded the iso of this demo to demonoid. with the iso you will not have to change anything, just put the iso in your iso folder and play it.

    for those having problems on gen c with this you need to go into the recovery menu and enable “use version.txt”. worked for me, hope it helps you guys

    I manage to get it working on the custom firmware Gen-B with my psp 3000

    Just go to the recovery menu, configuration and enable “Use version.txt”

    make sure you disable all your plugin exept Sedna if you use it

    work out for me and im happy :)

    it will not work for nothing for me. i don’t have any pluggins to disable. i put the thing inside the psp foldel but i just continue geting that error mesages. where can i get that iso version? give us a clue to where to look for that

    I doesn’t work for me on PSP3000/GEN-C (full). Before you asked, I tried to disable plugins/use version.txt as stated here. Problem is:

    When I go to recovery menu -> configuration, I have an entry:

    -> Use version.txt (currently: Disabled)

    Pressing x on it won’t Enable it, it will stay “disabled”. So I don’t know what to do.

    When I go to the plugins menu, I can see:

    - Button Assign (currently: x is enter)
    - Activate WMA
    - Activate Flash Player

    When I press x on either activate wma or activate flash player it will say it is already activated. But how do I disable it ??

    Anyone having the same problems ?

    Update: I could change the “use version.txt” option by running an hombrew called “custom firwmware enabler”. Now I’m getting the “game could not be started error”, with the code: 80010013
