The may have slowed to a crawl in recent years, but the ever ambitious and simply amazing homebrew project known as is still chugging along. This has seen constant updates for years now and has some of the most skilled and devoted Developers at its’ helm.

What is Daedalusx64? It’s an , and with it’s 777th revision, this release brings about much more speed and compatibility then ever before.

Below is an update from awesome develop Salv-E:

“Today I just merged all the changes Corn and I been cooking in the private branch to the DX64 branch.
Over 100 changes since our last merge, to sum up things.

– Alot of work was put into the dynarec, also a new option options was added “Dynarec Doubles Optimisation” (Is found in Advanced options, make sure to turn it ON before starting a game), which gives a speed up, mostly in games that use double opcodes heavily.

More compatibility – More games work, Cruisn’ USA, Toy Story 2, A bug’s Life, Flying Dragon and probably others (Note: Some of these games are highly buggy, hopefully we can improve them eventually)

Tested this on a PSP with 5.00 m33 CFW.  Works surprisingly well!

    Some tests:
Super Mario 64 played much too fast with sound disabled, with sound enabled it was completely playable.  Zelda on the other hand had minor (and funny at times) graphical glitches and text glitches, but even with sound disabled it still ran kind of slow.  Goldeneye in-game ran too slow and had a strange border around the screen.  Mario Kart 64 is very playable with sound disabled and with minor (and again funny) graphical glitches.
