LCFW 6.XX PRO B10 Released

Update: Custom Firmware 6.XX PRO B10 Fix has been released:

Believe it or not, the next revision of PRO LCFW is not entitled PRO C but PRO B10 and provides the usual bug fixes over the last revision. Once again a B revision outruns PRO C which is in development since B4. Here is the changelog I found on the internet (it’s translated from Chinese so it’s far from perfect):

  • [+]Recovery menu add Delete Hibernation and highlight effect
  • [+]support 2GB~4GB ISO/CSO

Here are some the most frequently asked questions about PRO LCFW:

  • What is LCFW ? LCFW a.k.a Light Custom Firmware is a custom firmware that is stored in the RAM as well as in the Flash0  and when the PSP is completely turned off it gets erased(only from the RAM). It’s the only CFW available for PSP 3000/GO/E1000 and PSP 2000 with TA088v3. It enables you to play PS1 games, PSP iso/cso games and to run homebrews and plugins.
  • Is there a way to make this LCFW permanent? If your PSP supports 6.20 OFW there is so called Permanent Patch that can make the 6.20 Pro B10 permanent and it’s supported by any PSP that supports 6.20 OFW. If you have PSP 1000 or PSP 2000 with non-TA088v3 motherboard you can also install 6.39 Pro B10 or 6.60 Pro B10 and install CIPL. This will make the LCFW full CFW.
  • What is Fast Recovery? After the initial installation of the LCFW there is easier way to turn it on. It’s to run the Fast Recovery.
  • Can I delete the files after the installation? If you have installed 6.20 Pro B10 with a permanent patch  or CIPL you can delete everything. If not than you can delete everything except the Fast Recovery.
  • What PSPs are supported?
  1. 6.20 Pro B10 – 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,downgraded to 6.20 9g
  2. 6.35 Pro B10 – 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g
  3. 6.39 Pro B10 – 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g
  4. 6.60 Pro B10 – 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g,11g a.k.a PSP E1000( not yet tested )
  • I installed 6.20 Permanent Patch and got a file called vshorig.prx. What to do it? This is file that will help you if something with your PSP went wrong. Copy it somewhere save – on your computer for example.

So How to install 6.XX Pro B10:

  • Install the some of these OFW : 6.20,6.35,6.39,6.60 ( No matter if you downgrade or upgrade or you are on one of them already )
  • Download the version of the LCFW that corresponds to your OFW
  • Unrar both FastRecovery and PROUPDATE folders in PSP/GAME
  • Run the 6.XX PRO UPDATE Icon from Game – Memory Stick
  • You will see black screen like the one below. Hit the X button. When the installation completes hit the X button again.

  • You are now back to the menu with 6.XX Pro B10 installed.

How to install 6.20 Permanent Patch( This works only on 6.20 Pro B10 already installed and enabled) :

  • In the 6.20 Pro B10 archive you will find folder called “620PRO_Permanent”. Copy it in PSP/GAME
  • Run it from Game – Memory Stick on your PSP.( See below )

  • You will see a black screen. Press X on it. Then you will be asked if you want to test the patch. Press X again. ( See below )

  • If your PSP doesn’t crash and goes to the XMB you can proceed with the installation. Otherwise your PSP is not compatible with it and should stop trying to install it.
  • Run the permanent patch again. Hit X again on the first question but this time hit O on the second.
  • Your 6.20 Pro B10 is now permanent. You Will find out that you got a file vshorig.prx in your root directory of the PSP. Copy it somewhere save – for example on your computer. It can help in some cases of brick.

Installing 6.39/6.60 CIPL( This must be installed on 6.39/6.60 Pro B10 and only on PSP 1000 and PSP 2000 with non -TA088v3 motherboard. Otherwise this will cause a brick that can not be fixed.) :

  • You will find a  CIPL_Flasher folder in the 6.39/6.60 Pro B10 archives. Place it in PSP/GAME
  • Run it from Game – Memory Stick ( See Below ).

  •  You will see a black screen as the one below. Hit X and wait the psp to reboot.

  • You now have a permanent 6.39/6.60 PRO B10.

    • newbie1 says:

I dont think u need to actually i bricked my PSP with the same CFW trying to update to PRO B8 but got it fixed but lost the gen now running 6.39 PRO b10 on PSP 3004

    • kathy025 says:

FULLY uninstall CFW 5.50 GEN-D3 first.

Personally, I would suggest updating to OFW 6.35 and installing LCFW 6.35 PRO-B10 instead. I prefer a non-perma hack so bricking is at minimal. Not like it’s too hard to run the FastRecovery anyway after a cold boot.

      Better safe than sorry. :)

      • guest says:

yes, he’s exactly right. but If you’re really to down on fastrecovery you can still perma it if u have psp 1k or 2k that is hackable.

Hello. After I installed 6.60 ME-1.6, all of the game works great. However, whenever I go to system settings, my PSP stuck and it shutdown. It happens whenever I go to settings. I changed to PRO-10 in hope of solving this problem but no avail. Can you help me on this?

    • NeW 1 says:

Load up 6.60 ME or PRO-10. Take out the memory stick and then go to settings. If it works fine then there must be something on the memory stick that is causing the issue (e.g. plugins).

I have a question. After you have psp 3000 6.20 pro b-10 installed , how to add plugins (if i need them) and how to run isos and csos ( i am so helpless ) please help.

    • NeW 1 says:

First you need to put all your CSO and ISO files in the ‘ISO’ folder which is in the root of your memory stick. Then you place all your plugins in the ‘seplugins’ folder. Whereas all your EBOOT files go in the ‘GAME’ folder, stored under the ‘PSP’ folder. Hope it helps.

I HAVE PUT BRO-B10 5g and after i have put cheat master, nitePR (i put codes but nitePR wasnt show to me) (syphon filter combat ops)…so il got to the point..As i said beofre after 4-5 days my psp’s green light was blinking while i was doing work with hack on PC.Then i realized that psp wasnt show the orange light when i connect it with AC cable…i scared so muchuch…i thought that psp wants a ‘relax’ so i left it on AC Adaptor for whole night..I woke up nervous about this problem..and the orange light was ‘OFF’…IN MY mind comes the  conclusion that psp’s battery was bricked or finished.I delete all things on my psp (including hacks, games, saves etc.) then i called the Sony of my coountry..i said to them that  my psp’s batterys it doesnt charge they ask me if its AC ADOPTORS problem  but dont worry i cahnge it too.! They said that they could give me a NEW ONE PSP GO (COMLETELY NEW) BY paying 59 euro with 1 year garantee. But i watn to hack my psp again..but the QUESTION IS? will CFW cause this facken problem or it was my batterys time ?….im here to give me your ideas or opionions,i would appreciate SO much if you could tell me if hack cause this thing or it was an originally problem ( i have psp go 2 years) pleaseee let me now….communicate with me email:[email protected]…PLEASE HELP 11

      • Fängs says:

dewd, same thing happened to me. The AC charger is the culprit. Overhearting chargers so much ruin & burn electronic parts when left for so long.

        Left mine for 3days & had a “playing & resting-loopy” habit & shewt.
I tried to replace AC charger & resurrected my seemingly broke PSP like sweetest charms.
Also thought that my battery ran dry but nah.

    • Bobby AKA BOBCAMO says:

      Hey Phenom23.
You Put All ISO & CSO Files/Games in this Directory
X will be what you’re PSP’s Memory Stick will be.
so in the ISO folder that’s where you put you’re ISO’s and CSO’s.
if they are EBOOT games, usually they go into the GAME folder. “X:PSPGAME”
      hope this helps.
FYI: i don’t yet have this Update on my PSP3001. about to do it in a few though.
