LCFW 6.20/6.35/6.39/6.60 Pro B9 Released

The Pro Team ( Virtuous Flame , Coldbird , Neur0n and npt ) released new revision of their LCFW that is now labeled B9. Here are some the most frequently asked questions about their LCFW:

What is LCFW ? LCFW a.k.a Light Custom Firmware is a custom firmware that is stored in the RAM as well as in the Flash0 and when the PSP is completely turned off it gets erased(only from the RAM). It’s the only CFW available for PSP 3000/GO/E1000 and PSP 2000 with TA088v3. It enables you to play PS1 games, PSP iso/cso games and to run homebrews and plugins.
Is there a way to make this LCFW permanent? If your PSP supports 6.20 OFW there is so called Permanent Patch that can make the 6.20 Pro b9 permanent and it’s supported by any PSP that supports 6.20 OFW. If you have PSP 1000 or PSP 2000 with non-TA088v3 motherboard you can also install 6.39 Pro B9 or 6.60 Pro B9 and install CIPL. This will make the LCFW full CFW.
What is Fast Recovery? After the initial installation of the LCFW there is easier way to turn it on. It’s to run the Fast Recovery.
Can I delete the files after the installation? If you have installed 6.20 Pro B9 with a permanent patch or CIPL you can delete everything. If not than you can delete everything except the Fast Recovery.
What PSPs are supported?

6.20 Pro B9 – 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g
6.35 Pro B9 – 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g
6.39 Pro B9 – 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g
6.60 Pro B9 - 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g,11g a.k.a PSP E1000( not yet tested )

I installed 6.20 Permanent Patch and got a file called vshorig.prx. What to do it? This is file that will help you if something with your PSP went wrong. Copy it somewhere save – on your computer for example.

So How to install 6.XX Pro B9:

Install the some of these OFW : 6.20,6.35,6.39,6.60 ( No matter if you downgrade or upgrade or you are on one of them already )
Download the version of the LCFW that corresponds to your OFW
Unrar both FastRecovery and PROUPDATE folders in PSP/GAME
Run the 6.XX PRO UPDATE Icon from Game – Memory Stick
You will see black screen like the one below. Hit the X button. When the installation completes hit the X button again.
You are now back to the menu with 6.XX Pro B9 installed.

How to install 6.20 Permanent Patch( This works only on 6.20 Pro B9 already installed and enabled) :

In the 6.20 Pro B9 archive you will find folder called “620PRO_Permanent”. Copy it in PSP/GAME
Run it from Game – Memory Stick on your PSP.( See below )

You will see a black screen. Press X on it. Then you will be asked if you want to test the patch. Press X again. ( See below )

If your PSP doesn’t crash and goes to the XMB you can proceed with the installation. Otherwise your PSP is not compatible with it and should stop trying to install it.
Run the permanent patch again. Hit X again on the first question but this time hit O on the second.
Your 6.20 Pro B9 is now permanent. You Will find out that you got a file vshorig.prx in your root directory of the PSP. Copy it somewhere save – for example on your computer. It can help in some cases of brick.

Installing 6.39/6.60 CIPL( This must be installed on 6.39/6.60 Pro B9 and only on PSP 1000 and PSP 2000 with non -TA088v3 motherboard. Otherwise this will cause a brick that can not be fixed.) :

You will find a CIPL_Flasher folder in the 6.39/6.60 Pro B9 archives. Place it in PSP/GAME
Run it from Game – Memory Stick ( See Below ).

You will see a black screen as the one below. Hit X and wait the psp to reboot.

You now have a permanent 6.39/6.60 PRO B9.

I by mystake update psp 3004 on version 6.60 (of version 6.39) and now i can’t play games ISO and CSO (after convert to Boot format) … Can i have back version 6.39 or unistal somehow the version 6.60 ??

    Me too check if u have some plugins that affect the isos my GPSP worked slowly as i had the cxmb plugins enabled but i reinstalled it and it worked fine so try reinstalling it

Currently I’m using a OFW 6.60 for my PSP 2000 with V2 MoBo. Can I install this 6.60 Pro B9 directly? What are the things i need to play my collection of cso/iso psp games? And another thing can i play the games that i downloaded at psn store with this firmware? thanks

Pls people can this be patched permanently? cos anytime i patch it and unfortunately the battery runs down or i off it i have to patch it again. any solution to this. I need tutorials on how to patch it permanently. Pls help.. its sucks… cos anytime it goes of u have to patch it again.

  No if you have psp 3000 model if you have 2000 or 1000 model with hackabale motherboard you can use it permanetly using CIPIL for 6.60 or for 6.20 or 6.39 its no suck why it goes down because if you have psp 3000 its prevent your console for briking as you know your psp 3000 have non hackabale motherboard if it goes permament it will brick you console for good so stop crying body think about it better patch it again that brick you console for good dont you think

hey guys, why does my gran turismo game cannot be played on this firmware. i use to play it when i was using gen d3 cfw. any tweaks to do so i can play it. its a cso file and it turns to be corrupted when i place it on my iso folder? thanks.

  yeah you will but sony could bane you from network sony have high security they detect even invisibale network hack so be carful yeas you can go to network its no permament hack so better when you wanna go to psn turn off hack and play official games when you wanna play isos just activate the hack without internet

  if you already installed pro you dont have to use pro update when hack desappears just use fast recovery and if you have psp 3000 series forget about permament patch you will brick psp so i suppose your psp shuts down because you use pro update insteed of fast recovery its bad because you install pro update already use fast recovery mode forget about pro update its shuts down because you already install it what you do you install it and install and install insteed recovery

Actually i have a psp 3004 (not hackable) with 6.35 OFW, and i’m using 6.35 HEN PRO with Prometheus Iso Loader to play with my “Backup” isoz….

Would u suggest me to change my Hen into Pro-b9 / Pro-b10?
How is the iso’s compability?

Can i use the “proupdate” on my psp without brickin it? (The Flasher is obviously out of question XD, but i’m not sure about the pro-update)

sooo I installed the 6.60 permanent patch on my phat psp, everytime i try and click system settings,clock settings,theme settings etc on my xmb my psp freezes and turns off? anybodu know whats going on?

  what psp phat do you have if it have t3 model of mother board forget it just play iso no increase your clock better use normal settings its goes that your psp cannot handle clock settings its could be glitch just actualize to version ProB10 insteed B9 its newer version with this bugs fixed try it

  Just install 6.60 Pro B9 or go to another post and better version of Pro hack is avalibale called pro B10 more actualiza version into your psp its simple just download 6.60 Pro B9/ B10 its pro update and fast recovery files and put them into game folder then lunch pro upgdate it will menu appear push X button and it will install it so go to system and check if it 6.60 pro B9/ B10 youve done now you can creat iso folder in your game folder and copy any ISO and CSO into ISO folder you can now play ps1 games it have support of old ps1 games just copy all PS1 iso and Normal isos to your folder its better then play with any loader i also have psp 3004 version 6.60 and its works just perfectly fine but warning this hack its no permanent when battery is off it goes back to original OFW 6.60 and its all because of protection to no brick you psp 3004 as you know your console have motherboard no hackable but its hackable now and to recover hack use your fast recovery file attention no lunch pro update anymore just when you install it just use fast recovery to recover hack DO NOT USE PERMAMENT PATCH In YOUR PSP 3000 its no compactable you will brick it use only 6.60 Pro B9 or B10 no Permament patch for protection

Hey guys. I have a question. I have a psp 2000 with 6.39 cfw b7 on it and it works amazingly good ever since I had it. Had no problems with games and etc. So my question is should I upgrade my cfw b7 to b10 or stay with b7 since I didn’t encountered any problems with it? I apologize if this is off topic.

  of course you can its safe its just actuallize it i install on my psp 3004 i had B9 but i installed B10 and on head of B9 its worked well so dont worry its safe and about isos just creat iso folder inside the game folder and copy isos its like other hackes its saved

Hey. It’s me again lol. I was finally gonna install b9 onto my psp then it hit me. I am not quite sure if I should keep the old FastRecovery file that’s on my psp or delete it and get the b9 FastRecovery file along with the b9 update. And I still have iso games and psp applications on my memorycard. All of that will stay with the new update? (Sorry Dark Alex. I know you gave me the answer already. Just very cautious of what I do lol).
