Edit: Tool 1.968 is out and is a bug fix release. Please update to this version, the download has been updated below! has updated again with various new decoding features. The changelog and download is below. also lets you create launch icons for your ISO’s so you can load them straight from the on 6.20 TN HEN and 6.xx HEN. ISO Tool can also convert ISO’s to , ripp ’s to ISO and more.

Instructions on how to make ISO’s load from the XMB with ISO Tool.

Make sure you place your legal ISO backup copy in the ISO folder of your memory stick or internal memory for the PSP Go. On my PSP Go I used my PSP-2000 to dump my UMD of GTA:LCS.

ISO Tool: With the Make XMB icon mode, ISO's can be launched from the XMB!

Run ISO Tool under 5.xx CFW or 6.xx HEN, select which ISO you wish to run directly from the XMB menu with the Make XMB-ICON option. This will then make an eboot in the PSP/GAME folder which will run via the ISO loader (Included in ISO Tool’s folder).

Trouble shooting:

CSO’s don’t work!

If your having lock ups with CSO’s try the M33 driver. Place the isofs_500.prx (Use PRXdecrypter and FW 5.00 to get this file) in the folder inside ISO Tool “DATA/PIL_V2″ Then when you go to load a CSO, hold the left shoulder button when it boots to use the M33 ISO driver instead of the NP9906 driver.

    convert more than 1 ISO to XMB Icon so you dont have to go through all the ISOs one by one.

      lol’d at this.. i am using ISO tool for, let’s see…um, a month or so on a PSP 3001.. and i’m sure as hell am happy.. never bricked mine.. this guy is such a dumbass that he bricked his PSP using an app that has no brick risks.. xD

    I think developers should really focus more on compatibility. Its annoying! I cant play Star Wars Battlefront 2!!! AT LEAST HAVE COMPATIBILITY FOR THT GAME, haha :P

    Hello All ,

    I need help , I have a PSP 3001 with Firmware 5.03 and user Chickhen + customer firmware 3.60 to play my games , i have been playing like this for more than a year now , i used the ISO tool to fix a “A game cannot be started issue” , While troubleshooting that i used the ISO tool and selected the option Chaneg CFW now my Custom Firmware 3.60 wont load at all , i am able to Load Chickhen just fine (Instantly) but when i try to launh the Custom Firmware 3.60 it gives a blank Screen and PSP turns off

    Things tried by me

    Restored defaults
    Formatted the memory card
    Restored Defaults again

    Tried to load Chick hen and CFW 3.60 still the same

    Please can someone provide more inputs please

    @Leon i think your cfw is old. try to search some of these choices
    5.03 gen, m33 or prometheus
    5.50 gen, prometheus
    you need official firmware updates for 5.50 gen or prometheus
    or go to a shop that knows psp hacking and supports it
    good luck
    and the game cannot be started issue its because your cfw is old
    and the game needs to be patched and needs the eboot.bin to be decrypted

    I’m still disappointed for now.. It’s still crash when running it to a ISO TOOL shotcut icon. But their is a trick to maybe yet avoid crashes. When you click the icon it boots up, wait for a while for the black screen with the codes in the left side, when it shows. click first the left trigger then right trigger one by one. This is for, i think ISO tool 1.968. Hope the developer will soon fix this bug for 3k PSP. Anyways more power Godspeed

    i tried to convert my fifa 09 umd to iso and something just comes up in chinese halfway through and asks me to press x. ehen i do nothing happens and there is no iso
