Updated: Takka has posted an update, this latest version fixes two bugs and adds news features.

ISO Tool 1.964 changelog:

[NEW] startup check disabled with MS
[BUG] 09g of the PIL in the body type of the fixed prx copy of the group had failed
[BUG] Prometheus ISO Loder v1 when it started, CWCheat Fixed ID of failing to recognize
[NEW] v2/v1 switch to change from R to R trigger buttons
[NEW] M33 drivers and startup ※ v2/v1 modified to save the settings for L and R triggers By keeping the button configuration is reversed

Takka has released a few updates to ISO Tool since we last looked at it, this latest version has several bug fixes and new features with the Prometheus ISO Loader built in. ISO Tool also lets you create XMB launch icons for your ISO’s so you can load them straight from the XMB on 6.20 TN HEN and 6.xx HEN. ISO Tool can also convert ISO’s to CSO, ripp UMD’s to ISO and more.

ISO Tool 1.963 changelog:

* 1.962 [NEW] startup icon Prometheus ISO Loder startup change to be able to switch the version of R that you press the trigger V1 icon you created in the past it is necessary to re-create the start / PSP/SYSTEM/PIL_v1 / prx is required to group, to create an icon ./DATA/PIL_v2 / automatically
* 1.961 [ BUG] when processing file names when creating an icon limit, if a space character is modified to remove trailing spaces [NEW] Prometheus patch at the selected folder USRDIR changed to provide additional processing of the SYSDIR / USRDIR

Instructions on how to make ISO’s load from the XMB with ISO Tool.

Make sure you place your legal ISO backup copy in the ISO folder of your memory stick or internal memory for the PSP Go. On my PSP Go I used my PSP-2000 to dump my UMD of GTA:LCS.

ISO Tool: With the Make XMB icon mode, ISO's can be launched from the XMB!

Run ISO Tool under 5.xx CFW or 6.xx HEN, select which ISO you wish to run directly from the XMB menu with the Make XMB-ICON option. This will then make an eboot in the PSP/GAME folder which will run via the Prometheus ISO loader (Included in ISO Tool’s folder).

Trouble shooting:

CSO’s don’t work!

If your having lock ups with CSO’s try the M33 driver. Place the isofs_500.prx (Use PRXdecrypter and FW 5.00 to get this file) in the folder inside ISO Tool “DATA/PIL_V2″ Then when you go to load a CSO, hold the left shoulder button when it boots to use the M33 ISO driver instead of the NP9906 driver.

I dont get the “If your having lock ups with CSO’s try the M33 driver.   M33 driver is much stable when running iso cso games
  other games dont run smooth on np9906 driver so you will need the m33
  no need to delete the created xmb icon to do so
  just run the game press and hold the left trigger then the M33 driver will be set for the gaming

    i don’t play DJ max portable 3 so i don’t know if its new or not
    if its NEW you need the KHBBS patch (it lets you play new games
    one example is Naruto ultimate ninja heroes 3) and i think there is
    no KHBBS patch for 6.20 TN HEN the KHBBS works like a plugin
    like other plugins you put. I didn’t try the KHBBS yet in 6.20 TN HEN
    so all who likes to play DJ max portable 3 on 6.20 TN HEN you are
    out of luck right NOW
    and anyway there is an ISO of DJ max portable 3 on torrentz that
    is pluginless you won’t need the KHBBS patch (i don’t think so its
    pluginless because i didn’t tested it yet

How do you dump UMDs on 6.20 TN-C? Each time I go through the prompts, it displays an error message of sorts.

  It occured to me that the majority of the people here are pirating as very few actually ask anything related to ripping UMDs. It baffles me how so many people have absolutely no issues with that feature of ISO Tool. Yet, one can almost always spot duplicates of some other retarded question like will it work on OFW X.XX

    I’ve never tried dumping with ISOTool, I use Takkas 6.20HEN modified umd_dump.prx to dump my UMDs….. it should still be available on this site if you search for tn-hen related stuff…… i would provide a link but that only seems to get posts yanked.
    
    Anyway it runs as a vsh plugin…. just hit the home button while the XMB is hovered over the UMD and it will automagically start ripping it to your ISO folder.
    
    I can vouch that other features of ISOTool work great, It converts to cso or back to iso, and the XMB icons are great

  Yeah, DJ Max Black Square is giving me problems in ripping my UMD, I get an error message with a line of Japanese characters, wierd how such a message isn’t translated.
  
  I do know that DJ Max BS used encryption that detects if its located in the ISO folder and would automatically delete every thing from the GAME folder. But I don’t think thats related to this.

im guessing the m33 choice u can only get if ur running full custome firmware, 635 and 620 u cant, ur saying u need 500 to make the file for it, what do u use in the dl for 620 and 635, just what goes in the game folder? how do u get the m33 driver to work with the trigger button for those versions, u have a prm folder , u can use that with 6xx, ur saying its for those versions too, newbs start sticking stuff in thier flash cause of things saying its for thier version, but no clear dir of what they do, thier gonna be bricking thier psp’s, be clear what files r for what versions id say to be fair

  @Momotaros, No it won’t brick your psp it is just a homebrew that make an XMB icon for 6.20 TN and 6.XX Hen so it would not brick your psp.

  cso is a compressed version of iso, so a smaller file, u may get more isos that work, depends, cso takes up less space, the only diff in the 2 if the cso is made right, is the cso has longer loading times, tho not much, so u may so a iso actually load up faster when u first start it, the difference isnt that big in time, after loading the iso and cso play the the same in game play, i use cso’s if possble

    some hames like gta lcs are unplayble in cso format cuz of the loading time. gta loads information al the time so when you are driving in a car the screen freezes every 10 seconds for a few seconds and then it moves on this is anoying so this game works better in iso format.

Hello there i tested out this ISO tool with my own umd of gta lcs and it ran perfectly off of my xmb with hen pro on my PSP 3001 fw 6.35.it just doesn’t play if its not on hen .is there a way to play it without running hen pro,like signed or decrypt?

Question: I have prometheus andDracula X chronicles .iso and I’ve unlocked both Classic Rondo of Blood & Symphony of the Night but whenever I try to access to them it hangs at the loading screen. What should I do? Maybe this ISO Loader might solve the problem?

instructions for making a XMB Icon for 6.XX Hen’s and make it to work.
1) on 6.XX HEN’s, go to XMB and Run Iso Tool
2) on Iso Tool, pick the Iso you want to make it an XMB Icon then press X and Make XMB ICON
3) when the iso to xmb icon is done go to home and launch the xmb icon when booting the game hold L Trigger then done.

DON’T DELETE THE ISO ON THE ISO FOLDER THAT YOU HAVE MAKE A XMB ICON

i haven’t test it out yet but it will work. mine’s is PSP 3000 5.03 Prometheus4

The thing about this isotool is CRASH.. will as I’ve notice, when I make an icon and runs to the xmb yet quite different in running towards the prometheus iso loader.

What I’m trying to say is.. isotool shortcut icon crash alot rather than running it to a plane prometheus iso loader.

    That’s what i’ve always notice. That kind of bug said by karter1288. Yet it run towards the icon but after a few minutes or second it crash….

When I throw this on my memory stick it’s telling me the data is corrupted, i just deleted the old folder for iso_tool and replaced it with this. Was I supposed to just combine this folder with the old one?

Does anyone know how to get the DBZ tag team to work on 6.20 TN HEN-C? It loads up to the start menu, but when I load or start a new game, it freezes on a black screen and I’ll have to take my battery out.

I found something interesting while trying to start up the DBZ TAG TEAM ISO. As soon as you press X to load your save, take the MemoryStick out. If done right, you will be sent to a loading screen for loading up the main menu as in multiplayer, single player, ect.
