Torch has released an update to Hold+ his PSP Plug-in designed to prolong your PSP’s battery life. Just how does it prolong your battery life? While when hold is activated Hold+ will clock down the CPU speed to low 60 MHz, not to mention turn off the LCD screen and backlight. Great for getting the most hours out of your PSP while listening to MP3’s (good for long train or aeroplane trips).
Changelog
* Optimized Code.
* Proper fixed to prevent any chance of accidental suspend when coming out of hold mode due to pushing switch too far.
* LEDs do not blink every 30 seconds anymore.

I like it, but I’m afraid that if I keep it on hold, I’ll look at it, and think it’s off, when it’s really on. Good stuff though!

I had an problem once-I don’t know if hold was the reason but after I turned the PSP once it was remained in 60 MGh or at least it looked like -everything was really slow-I was forced to reset the psp

That shouldn’t happen in 3.6 onwards. Even if it does, just hold the screen button and speed will restore.

Another good way to extend your psp’s battery life, and several other international items, buy a tekkeon external battery. For psp and ipods it can add up to 30-40 hours of charge time.

the feature i like most in this app is that you’ll unlock the 5th brightness setting.
so its like you already have the psp-3000’s bright screen..

You can install it in the seplugins folder, and make an entry in VSH.txt.
