Still hard at work, and the HLB development team have released Revision 100 of the ! It seems like yesterday when the initial release of the occured, but here we are 100 revisions in, and look what has been accomplished! This latest revision includes improvements for running homebrew on OFW 6.30 & 6.31.

While this revision does contain improvements, wololo wants to make sure everyone knows that this revision is not perfect:

Now, as I said yesterday, there are still a few bumps on the road for people who plan to enjoy homebrews on OFW 6.30 and 6.31. Although HBL has made incredible progress in the past months, adapting it to new exploits and new firmwares still requires lots of testing. But as I already said, compare this to the first HBL release for the patapon2 exploit, and be happy that you can run much more than simple text based homebrews ;)

That being said, wololo also stated that this revision brings nothing new to the Patapon 2 Demo exploit, so people who are on 6.20 or below don’t really need to download this revision.

Since there are currently four working exploits (including the Patapon 2 Demo exploit), a different version of the HBL is required for each exploit at this time. In case you forgot, these exploits can be found in the unpatched UMD or PSN version of these games:

  • Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee (US version)
  • Everybody’s Golf (EU Version)
  • Minna no golf Portable (JP Version)

So, in order to run the HBL through one of these games, download the appropriate version of the HBL and savegame exploit, & copy the contents of the archives into the root of your memory stick or internal memory.

        Well, I’m using 6.2 ofw, so this isn’t really to a user like me. Of course I understand that there are probably thousands of PSP users jumping for joy at the moment.

      lol its not cfw and will never be unless someone gets a cfw loader for hbl which is very unlikely.

    Well.
    I’ve PSP 6.31, Using Hot Shots Golf got from PSN $9,9.

    Untill now the only emulator I could use was pico drive.
    too much crash and psp restart all the time while I try to run exploit!

    BUT THANK YOU VERY MUCH.!!!
    WAS THE BEST THING FOR MY PSP LAST WEEKS!

    Working very nicely on my 3001 using Open Tee US disc. I had a bit of trouble with the “recommended” version. The “developer” release, however, is fine.
