Update: Its confirmed the title is on PSN Japan (We still don’t know the title of the game) And Wololo has also confirmed that the US version of the game is exploitable too. So great news!

Some good news for owners that are stuck on official firmware 6.30 or 6.31 from either updating (Silly!) or new PSP’s. Wololo has posted that the Japanese duo ( and ) behind the Half Byte Loader port for Firmware 6.30 and 6.31 will have a release in under a weeks time! This release works via a new Save game exploit found by (I’m not sure which one of his exploits) is a title that can be purchased on UMD. Its unconfirmed at this stage if its on PSN or not. Sorry PSP Go owners.

The name of the game will be released soon too, most likely with the release of the Half Byte Loader port for it. No doubt like the GTA LCS, Lummings and Grip Shift days this UMD game will reach stupid prices on ebay. Wait till the madness is over so you don’t pay over 100 dollars for this UMD guys….We will let you know asap as soon as J416 and Mamosuke release this port and have it up for download right here.

    i really wouldn’t want to have to pay money for the umd it would be better if it was just a demo exploit so hopefully they get it to work with a demo so its free

    Forget the aspect of 6.30+ being so recent you’d have to be beyond stupid to have it, Half byte loader is still garbage that can only run ONE stuttering emulator and crash most every other homebrew..

    Who really cares..

    We know the PSP CFW scene is DEAD as can be, but stop with the damn half byte/ Daedalus updates….

      You dont need more than ONE brain to tell that HBL can run more than ONE homebrew.But just like so many people,you are too lazy to check that,isnt that right?So stop trolling if you dont know what you are talking about.Go read a book or something instead of staying here and looking for someone to annoy.

        Hah, you guys are in such denial it’s absurd… It runs a very average at best emulator and very generic homebrews that amount to crap like pong..

        Most homebrew stuff is crap oriented at CFW users, but forget that and you have the bottom of the barrel for games and functions..

        CFW scene is DEAD half byte loader is more like a homebrew itself, it will never amount to anything more then it is currently as we’ve seen. Basically even admit that Daedalus is its only selling point in their forums when it comes to “Well it can’t do this, this, this, or that, but…..you can run Daedalus………kind of!” responses.

        Ignore 3k’ers/gimped 2k’s and you’ll see that CFW is just updates and mods to old ones here and there, nothing new whatsoever.

        Wake up..

        Just as I thought,you didnt look for a compatibility list neither this time.HBL is not anymore an exploit which was found yesterday.All the known emulators like Picodrive,gpSP,NesterJ and SNES 9X are working on this.Also the most known homebrew games like Guitar Star,CSPSP,Doom are working on this,as well as the best apps like WiFi Controller,Homebrew sorter,PSP Filer,PSP Ad-hoc file transfer and other like those.
        You are right when you say that updates and updates are coming for the older mods,but this isnt a bad thing.If you would be at least at the age of 13 you would realise that kernel exploits dont grow in trees and its one of the hardest things to find one.
        I done listening to you,since mostly if we will continue we will just have a stupid fight of annoying words.
        So lets stop this disscusion.If you think you’re ,,cool” enough to continue,then you are just a spammer.

    Comment 5! My Record. Anyway who would pay for a homebrew loader. I mean apart from Old Man Jenkins who would enjoy the classics. Homebrew is open source and open source is mostly free. I would rather use that money on PSN and download modnation racers for psp.

    I think you guys are happy for nothing.Did you noticed that Mamosuke is from Japan,as well as J416?That means that both of them use the JP version of the game,and I can bet that the exploit its not gonna work on the US/EU version of the game.The only solution is to get it from PSN,but its about minutes for Sony to pull out the game from there.I definitely wont run at Japan to buy the UMD,so…This exploit is pretty much useless for most of us.How silly I was…At first I thought that I’ll be able to buy new games again…Well,looks like I’ll remain on 6.20

    good thing i hav2 CFW psp’s and 1 OFW psp…..good job..i love CFW, but despise it on the other hand….some people just go overboard with it, they either pirate games or cheat online….why can’t you just use CFW to download awesome apps or play some sick homebrew games….but of course there are always going to be obnoxious people in this world.

    Update: J416 has updated his blog clarifying that the game is available on PSN in Japan; the title still remains unknown at this time.

    Update: Wololo has confirmed the US version is indeed exploitable as well.

    after reading everyone’s comments.. i feel stupid for returning my PSP 3000.. because when they were first released i hacked it.. with the pandora battery & magic memory stick.. but then i scratched the screen really bad on accident and i exchanged it for another one, not knowing about the damn mobo issue.. and now i just have a damn unhackable PSP with OFW 6.31.. damn it all to hell!! i hope i can run my ISO games on this new HBL..?????

    i have a 6.20 psp go running hbl and i have 2 questions. also i will not update because this new hbl wont work on a psp go.
    Q1: will the upcoming revision of hbl still work on 6.20?
    Q2: 6.20 isnt current firmware so i cant play my 2 favorite games (resistance and socom ftb3) online. i heard of psnabler and psnfucker tht fixes this problem on custom firmware. so my question would be would it work on my psp go 6.20?

    @psp slim hakx……plz guyz make a cfw for pspgo and a way to convert iso/cso to the required pbp format…….. i know u cn do it , dont b lazy, think of all of us to never have to worry about carrying umds or atleast

    MAKE THE CFW FOR OLD GAMES V CN BUY NEW ONES!!!!!

      @ viked First of all,I think someone who type with CAPS and words like ,,sukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk” should be a litle more patient.Then,there is a solution for what did you asked.If you would been in the hacking scene since 2005,you would know that there are homebrews like HookBoot and Wab Launcher which let you play old games,like NBA 2K5,Ridge Racer,WipEout Pure,and other like those.However,theese old games are hard as hell to find,since no one seeds the torrents for this kind of game,and I couldn’t find any direct downloads.I could run both HookBoot and Wab Launcher,but I do not have any games to test,so I’m not sure if it will work.Here,I want to say that the HBL team is working on something called API.This would help to create advanced homebrews,leting us to use HBL’s internal functions.Thus,if this is done,there’s no way HookBoot or Wab Launcher could have any bug in loading ISOs.Do the homebrews still suck? I dont think so…

    I think this will go no where. Even though I love the idea. This is because all UMD /PSN exploits die quickly. They games usually get pulled and patched, and the old versions are only available in used game stores and ebay. Demo exploits work much better and are compatible with the PSPGo.

    And for all those trollers saying homebrew sucks, get a homebrew emulator. Just as good as your freaking pirated PSP games. If you cant deal with it, then gtf off your PSP.

    @rdycrz i dont know why u bothered to ans………fyi i have a psp3004 with 5.03 gen-c,
    all i was doing was encouraging ppl to help others, and i have nvr bought a single game on psp i have iso’s 4 all of them the same goes for my XBOX.

    jst immagine if they once rewrite the codes the psp go could turn out 2 b so cool coz it has much faster boot speed more flash memory nd awsm storage space……

    nobody knows what the nxt upcoming consoles r so why take chance, these coders dont wanna waste time writing all over again but the fact is dat its likely dat sony finally comes up with a console u cnt crack, the GO only uses a new set of modules!!!

    Man i just cant wait for this ofw i miss playing my emulators. Some games for psp are good but some of them dont compare to retro games like Zelda,Megaman x-x3 Super Mario Advance etc. Hopefully the game is available in PSN.

    Update: The game is available on PSN for all 3 regions.

    Update: The release date has been set: 2010/8/24 22:00:00. The game title and Half Byte Loader for 6.31 will be available then.
