GTA V on Vita?

Sometimes in the gaming industry we read things that sound way too good to be true, According to Play Magazine Issue 217 Rockstar’s upcoming open-world game will not only be gracing the screens of our home consoles but also that of the PS Vita.

As I said previously something’s we read sound far too good to be true. However is this one all that far fetched? This wouldn’t be the first time that a full scale GTA has been released on a Sony handheld, not too long back both GTA: Liberty City and Vice City Stories were released on the PSP. Following successful launches they went onto get a release on the PS2 as well.

Many people are saying that the PS Vita can handle a full sized console release with the bonus of being portable. The Vita has all the controls needed and by no means lacks the necessary power needed to handle a fully operating GTA game.

Play magazine claims to have an all important industry insider on the cards yet it could be age old media techniques in play in order to get people to purchase a copy only to find them quoting a typical “no comment” factor.

Yet again it could also be possible that Rockstar are working on a smaller spin-off GTA game specifically for Vita in the same way that it did for the PSP.

Unfortunately we won’t know until Rockstar confirm something officially, but we shall let you know when they do.
