GEMS: homebrew Bejeweled clone for PSP.

Here’s some fresh new homebrew for you in the way of Valantin’s GEMS. Its a Bejeweled clone for the PSP. This homebrew game is easy enough to play. Just hold X and move the directional pad in the direction you want to swap the gems. Three or more in a row converts to points. This homebrew game is a entry in PSP Italia’s winter homebrew comp.

Just me or does this game have no music or sfx ???!

    • abcguy10

No,there is no sfx/music….maybe a newer version will support it, :\

    Yay second

Go to hell, MiloBoy. Screw off with the second crap.
Now then, if the game doesn’t have music or sfx, that’s gonna be a problem. Half the Bejeweled experience is the sound, at least in my opinion.

Sweet, this is pretty cool, one of those little games that I go to play for 5 minutes then realize an hour has already passed… lol :)

I haven’t played this game on the PC for a while. Pretty cool game, I don’t really need the music since I can just listen to my own music while playing.

Just a question….is the psp scene dead?….seems like it to me….i think the new pandora game console is gonna take over soon….seems like the people on ofw 5.50+ with 88v3 are truly done for and the 88v3 in general will never be completely hacked…..o well i m still happy with cfw enabler on my 88v3

Dead? To paraphrase something Frank Zappa once said of jazz, “The PSP Scene isn’t dead, it just smells funny!” There are plenty of people still developing apps, plugins and homebrew games, there has been less happening in the last year but that’s just a reflection on how much has already been done, now emulation is so well catered for there’s not much need for constant revisions and such, besides that the PSP has a healthy library of games now and a consistent team of cfw developers that allow us to play them.

And on the subject of the Pandora, it is a bigger, less portable console that emulates most stuff great but PSP still looks to better in terms of emulation, add to that the Pandora doesn’t play PSP games iirc and its PS1 emulation is very poor atm its definitely not expected to be the next big thing with its hefty price tag, size and small following it has in the emulation scene, though I wish it every success and have been considering putting some money down for one myself for a long while.

I’m perfectly happy with my beautiful fully hacked PSP2003 PB, I don’t like the feel of the Go and the improvements for the 3000 are far too minor for me to care. So yeah, those with 88v3 need to quit complaining and either put up with what they got or trade it in and get a 1000 or fully hackable 2000.

Its not dead, just a little slow this month thats all. Happened last year and the year before that. People are on holiday or were. Are now back working or studying etc. They don’t have so much time to create new hacks and apps etc.

The PSP scene is like this, you never know in a few weeks there might just be a big break through?
