Didn’t take long for version 4 to be released. All good, as Yoshihiro has now added up to original firmware version 6.10 eboot decryption to his . As well as support for 5.00  M33 which was added in V3 released earlier today. You game now decypt eboots for either or 5.03 GEN-A (PSP-3000 users) or .

You have two options now, either decrypt the eboot for 5.50 GEN-B by pressing X or decrypt and patch it for 5.00 M33 or 5.03 GEN-A.

      Might happen yes, unless 6.00 GEN is coming? After all PSPGen did decrypt Firmware 6.00. Guess we just wait and see.

      I wouldnt say that there wont be any more CFW, but there probably wont be any as long as the OFW doesnt give them reason to. i mean, i agree with DAX for stopping when he did, just because, whats the point of updating CFW when theres nothing new for it except games..?i mean really, getting new CFW is nice, but more when it has new features that the old ones didnt. and as long as the old firmware is stable, then why upgrade if there’s nothing new?

        I agree to kagemaru.. also, some people/team will probably make a homebrew that enables games that needs 5.55+ firmwares..

    So with this, I will still have to go through Eboot Patcher 1.0 tool to patch the games, right? And then rebuild the ISO with UMDGen?

      Nope. You wont need Eboot patcher if you use the 5.00 M33 option in Games decrypter v4

        Does not work on PSP-2001 running 5.00M33-6 when I tried Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. The error says, “The game could not be started.” (80020321)

        My setup is PSP 2001(TA88v3)+OFW 5.03 with ChikeHENR2+CFWEnabler 3.60
        GT + Disgaea 2 + Motorstorm
        EBOOT decrypted with Yoshihiro’s Firmware 5.55 & 6.00 Game Decrypter V2, Patched with Eboot Patcher v1.0 & Compiled with UMD Gen 4
        Works flawless for me.

        hey I only used Psp decryptor v4 to patch disgaea 2.

        What is the purpose of Eboot patcher v1.0?

        it worked on my PSP 2000[TA-085] without using eboot patcher v1.0…

        fifa 10 works for me , ( psp 3000 , CFW 3.6)
        i used game decrypter v3.

        1. extract ebbot.bin with UMDGen4
        2. patch with game decrypter v3
        3. rebuild iso with UMDGen4

        it takes 5 min. to do this , and it worked for me.

    Man…this really levels the fields between hackers and SONY. I mean..encrypting Eboots was obviously their way of keeping us out and making us update. And game security is really the only reason sony keeps updating the firmware. This decryption of Eboots is such a great idea. It’s a similar concept to decrypting dvd’s. Sony will have to go back to the drawing board if they really want to respond to this…which I doubt they can unless they want to change the entire infrastructure. Awesome job Yoshi!!

      try changing your UMD ISO Mode to Sony NP9660, thats what i did and it worked perfectly

    i tried for fifa 10 didnt work ( same thing as naruto i did )
    i tried just using eboot patcher for fifa 10 didnt work aswell and i tried press 0 instead of x aswell didit work :(
    is there no way no make fifa10 work on psp :@
    ermmm i read the compatability on this exceel on eboot patcher 1.0 and it says fifa10 can be cracked and work on psp 3000 5.03 MHU/GEN A — soz but itried really hard, like 2 whole hours doing every way possible no luck still impossible uness some1 made it work :’(

        there a reallly good gide posted yesterday on youtube work like a charm :)
        its bascially the sam as the guide as on the page decrypter v3 on pspslimhacks

    ok some quick questions….gen-A is for 88v3 and 3k users right?…..would this work on cfwe 3.30 / 3.60 or do I have to change to something??…..also is 5.00 m33 refering to 5.00 m33-6 or something else??

    Well, i have the fat 1004 , 5.00m33-6, and i am very happy THANKs to Yoshihiro for this utility, now i can play all my emulators ( nes, snes,genesis,mega-cd, pc engine, cps1 and 2, mvs,neogeo cd, n64, game boy advance and color, mastersystem, gamegear,msx,and all the newest games without problems ;-)

    i’m struggling to get persona to work. i got every other game i wanted to work but persona gets a black screen and stays there. has anyone made this game work. on the forum its listed as playable but i tried about 10 time today and yesterday and can not get pass the black screen.

    I have slim psp2000 5.00 m33-6 and playing naruto and disgaea 2

    Hey You guys Fifa 10 Does work for psp 3000 on 5.03 mhu !!
    it worked for me after tons of tries!
    try using the prxdecrypter to decrypt the eboot and then patch it with the patcher..

    Im not a NOOB at all. Im a vet at the PSP thing. But there is one little thing I am having issues with.

    i know many of you have Persona PSP working rather finely. But i get a black screen after the opening video. Any help would be nice as I have been wanting to play this game for like EVER!!!

    Just let me know what I am doing wrong please. I have read the TUT and everything. I know how to use it but it’s just not letting me enjoy the game.

    For those people having trouble running Persona: You NEED TO CHANGE UMD ISO MODE in the so-called VSH menu. Press SELECT while in the PSP menu and change from “M33 Driver” to “Sony NP9660″. You need to have this enabled when you start Persona, otherwise it won’t start. For other games, you must change back to “M33 driver”.
    I’ve registered just to tell you this.

    For people having trouble with Persona: You NEED to change UMD ISO MODE in the so-called VSH menu. While in the basic PSP menu, press SELECT and change UMD ISO MODE to “Sony NP9660″, otherwise the game will not start (you get black screen). For other games, change back to “M33 driver”. You need to change this only for SMT:Persona, as far as I know.

    There still seems to be flaws with this, V3 was supposed to have M33-6 support and even this V4 doesn’t work properly. I tried using this to run something on a PSP2000 /w CFW 5.0 M33-6 and it wouldn’t work. I reluctantly changed my firmware to 5.5 GEN-B2 and it runs on that. I really hope Dark Alex returns and releases an new M33.

      what doesnt work? its worked for me on everything but gran tourismo but i think my iso is suspect. it starts the game but freezes. but has worked on all other iso’s and i am running the same as you had. psp 2000 and 5.0 m33-6. all games work even after i compress the iso.
      i used decrypter v4 and followed the instructions.
      sometimes i even used iso buster to extract the eboot instead of umd

        It was Beaterator. It wouldn’t run on 5.0 M33-6 or 5.5 GEN-B2 so I used this tool. After I decrypted I tried it on 5.0 M33-6 and it wouldn’t work but it would work on 5.5 GEN-B2.

        I have a Pandora battery so I can switch back to 5.0 M33-6 so I’m not afraid of messing with the firmware. Too bad the latest M33 installer seems to be RainsUltraLiteMMS (installs 5.0 M33-4) which needs mspformat which only works in Windows XP. Good thing I have an old laptop with XP on it lying around. Emulating XP in Vista doesn’t seem to get mspformat working.

        Just keep in mind that if you ever switch to GEN CFW one of the versions disabled everything when you first install it like the menu and plugins. You’ll have to restart your PSP and hold R to go to the recovery menu and through there enable the menu and stuff.

        I heard that the GEN CFW throws all 1.5 support out the window which is why I didn’t want to switch to it. I use CWCheat for doing stuff such as converting save types, it has a 1.50 folder so I thought maybe that won’t work. It still seems to be working, perhaps it doesn’t need 1.5 support.

    Now that’s odd, i can’t seem to get Shin Megami Tensei Persona working on my PSP3000 running CWFE 3.60. I tried using decryptor V4 and UMD Gen4 + changing to Sony NP9660 on the VSH menu. But i am still getting the black screen….did i missed out something ?
