We hope you had a good Halloween night. Anyway Bubbletune has released Game Categories v9, this awesome little plug-in has a new feature. As demonstrated in the video above it now features a Content Browser mode which displays the eboots and ISO’s as logo’s. Its taken from the PSP photo browser mode. If you don’t already have this plug-in it comes highly recommended for any PSP running Custom Firmware.

Am I The Only One That Has Problem With “Content Browser” ???
I am PSP 3000 owner and i use CFE 3.6…
With Content Browser when i go to games category and try to open the memory stick folder it shows folders and files ( ass Corrupted ) of “Picture” folder.
*Oh and i just found that Jpoel from the upper post has the same problem… :S
November 2, 2009 at 12:42 am
Im using the first option, and what I did is, at the main folder. PSP(i didnt touch this), seplugins(nothing to do here), ISO(Where i store all my cso, iso. Inside this folder i created 1 new folder CAT_Monkey, and i put all the game inside that folder) And its appeared in the menu as Monkey instead of Game. ahAHha
And inside PSP/GAME/ i created 1 another folder, CAT_Software. I moved all the software/application to this folder. After that, game menu got 1 new sub folder, Software, where i can find all the software/application that i just moved.
This plugin rocks!!
Sorry again for my bad English/Grammar. ;( Trying to share. XD

i really love this plugin.. the best

Works on GEN-D2. However, for the games, if it seems to load the thumbnails a bit slow and for my games, there is no animation or sound when highlighting the game. Possibly a new update coming soon?
November 2, 2009 at 4:01 pm
I wonder if this fixes the problem in v8 where some games wouldn’t launch when put inside a Cat_ folder. I forget the error #, but hopefully i can upgrade from v7 to v9 without any problems this time
November 3, 2009 at 3:07 pm
Yeah it’s really pissing me off. Ever since I upgraded to v8, all my psn games stopped working when placed inside a CAT_ folder.
November 3, 2009 at 3:46 pm
SOLID Yes! are you running gen-d2. what’s your psp/motherboard? im slim with a TA-085V2. It seems to only happen on games that i bought from the PSN store. Doesn’t matter what driver i’m using either. This needs to be fixed!

visit askad.techieglue.com leaked screenshots of CFW 6.10
November 3, 2009 at 11:42 am
And Why Next To 6.10 Writes Askad… ? I think It’s fake…
Correct me if i say something wrong but there are many people who know how to change just the text of psp version.
November 3, 2009 at 4:43 pm
Ignore the idiot. He’s spamming his site and is retarded enough to think people will believe him.
If you want details, the guy is inconsistent with his claims of what he’s offering and 6.10 has been out for a long time, so why would it be leaked right now?
But hopefully, no one was misguided enough to fall for the link.

The Content Browser’s cool and all, but why does it have to eliminate my cool game booting psp logo?
November 3, 2009 at 8:06 pm
has anyone tried this with 5.03gen-b? i believe it should work without trouble but am always cautious about what i use on psp 3000.
November 3, 2009 at 8:36 pm
nevermind. i tried it it works, just gotta learn how to use it. my main reason for this would be to put games in one folder and files no one should touch (503-genb) updater in another folder.
November 5, 2009 at 2:00 am
it does NOT read the gen d2 folder in a categories it must be in the main folder ms0: psp/game
November 5, 2009 at 6:23 am
but version 7 DID read them in the categories folder on gen-d2 So something changed.
