FreePlay Save Game Exploit Released

has released his Save Game Exploit and the game that was the culprit here, Archer Maclean’s Mercury. Sony has won this one, as they have patched it in Firmware 6.20. Plus the game itself now requires 6.20 to run, easy way for Sony to block it. So the exploit is now useless. has released this anyway, I guess as more proof it was real and working.

You need firmware 6.10 or below, and the game of course. The exploit was patched in 6.20, and the PSN version of the game was updated to require 6.20.

The eLoader isn’t happening at all unless I can get a 6.10 firmware dump from the Go, which this exploit can’t do. It would probably be best to wait until an XMB-based exploit comes along… game-based exploits are too easy to block.

        it’s sad,really. some kid found an exploit that the community goes nuts about, shows us what only HE has,and then sony finds and patches it.i’m happy for one reason:this kid learned his lesson about releasing a demo to the public instead of the actual exploit.

    P.S i have psp3000 version 5.51 and so i can use UMD which probably requires 6.10 or lower to run so i should be ok

      yes it will work i think as if umd requires fw below 6.10 or 6.10 then u can run homebrews on your psp any model……………………………………please correct me if i am wrong….

        Just need someone to prove on youtube that u can play homebrew with this exploit, by pressing HOME button twice quickly ( nobody has done a video yet on youtube )
        if it does work and u can play homebrew then i’m going to buy the game straight away and already downloaded the exploit!

    Hey i was playing with this exploit opening it just checkin with every game in my game N+ it’s cso its showed hello world same as in the video………..i hav psp 1000 so don’t know it will work on any other version and i hav 5.00m33-4 ….. please help if it will lead to anything or just a flop

    his is NOT his work, it is by Fajita and the other psp hackers! Freeplay stole it from them, then claims it as his own, then acts like he is working on an eloader, when he is LYING. HE told Sony about the game/exploit, so it would be blocked, then he releases it like the jigs up and sony figured it out!     can u make a eloader for all the people with psp3000 6.10- i mean team typhoon was able to get hoebrew to play from this eploit, so that means u guys can find a way to play HOMEBREW aswell :D

    This is actually a good exploit if you have the game which I do, and I’m going to start working on this right away. I have a psp 3001 with 6.10 ofw loaded. Sony was going to patch this from the gamesave exploit from the first of the year. People give sony to much credit like this update was born last night or something.

    actually TEKKEN6 PSP-iND is out….and as pspslimhacks predicted, GEN-D2 is now useless…it requires 6.20

      If Freeplay reveals his game exploit, it will be blocked in 24 hour.
      So, if he do that, he’s just wasting good exploit.
      He’s not being selfish but trying to act smarter.

      Not quite. He was given access to a private SVN, and the source was sitting there on the root. He wasn’t told not to use what was in plain sight.

    Yes it will, I tested this on my psp 3000 firmware 6.10 and was able to run the hello world program, and the registry dumper, unfortunately I don’t know how to edit anything there but if you do you can also change the registry on your psp. I have tried running other homebrew in .bin format by renaming it to the same as the files included in the exploit but I was unable to run anything else. Luckily I was able to pickup mercury at a local gamestop for $6.99 :)

    You know, I’ve been coming here for a few years, and I’m so sick of this that I had to register just to comment.

    CFW IS DEAD.

    Not to say I don’t use it. It’s just cheaper for Sony to pay off hackers than it is to worry about piracy. Common sense. So unless someone with the skill and time comes along who doesn’t love money as much as the rest of the world (good luck), chances are there won’t be any new cfw anytime soon.

    The GO should be left alone, there’s so much that can be corrected with the rest of the versions but the problem with that is it’s not a name builder for those looking to make a name for them selves. It would draw bigger fame say some one decided to work on the issues at hand with CFW and PSN support instead of destroying future ventures. Don’t get me wrong I value the work and time put in to development and I respect others for theirs as well but there’s so much that can be done with what we have in front of us.
