Someone out there in the universe might be wondering how to use those emulators
that everyone is talking about because they want to play some mario and zelda
on their psp. In this tutorial, I will show you how to use them simply and easily.

First you will need an emulator. In this tutorial we will be using PicoDrive, a Sega
Genesis/ Sega CD emulator. You can download it here (outdated - for 3.71 m33):

http://pspslimhacks.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/picodrive_psp_135b.zip

When you download it, unzip it and take a look inside...

You see an eboot, a readme, and another folder. Most of the time, the folders should
be left as they are unless they say "rom" or something like that. If you see a rom
folder in your emulator, that is where you will put your roms or game files. For now,
being that there is no rom folder, we will put the rom files where the eboot is located.
Note - Genesis roms are in bin format
So put them there:

Now hook your psp up and place the folder in which the eboot and roms are located (the emulator)
into the Game folder on your psp memory stick. Simple as that, just remember if there is a rom
folder put your roms in there. And ALWAYS read the readme.

By the way, getting rom files LEGALLY is up to you.

How to use the latest GPSP Kai

First download it the latest one (test 8.7)

Unzip the file, and open it. Go into the first folder you will see:

If you just want to use the emulator you won't be needing anything in here except the emulator itself. For that
go into the ms0 folder, keep going until you find the folder called "gpSP". This is the folder you will stick in the
GAME section of your memory stick. Go into the gpsp folder.

You will see 3 folders. Go into the "GBA" folder:

You will put your rom files into the "ROM" folder. After that, just put the gpsp folder in the GAME section of
your memory stick. You can start playing from your xmb now  Grin

It's the same thing except you put roms in the rom folder. There are a few
sites out there that have all the roms and bios files but I can't say anything
about them here.

The sega emulators only work for bin files? Because I got my hands on a few sega roms and they were all .gen files... and they don't show up on my psp.

I need to convert the files then?

Sorry, I didn't write it clearly  Sad , just place the folder that contains the emulator
into the GAME folder on your memory stick.

Hey I DL-ed from this site the 8.7 test of Takka's gpSP (GBA) emulator. I have no idea where to put these files, can someone visually guide me? =D Oh, and are you allowed to tell me where I can put the BIOS file I need in order to run this?
