How To Convert PSX ISO To PSP EBOOT

This guide will show you how to convert a psx iso file to a psp eboot that you can play in your custom firmware enabled psp

Download and extract the PopstationGUI at the bottom of this post and double click the exe file to run the program

Step 1: Click browse to locate the iso file you wish to convert
Step 2: Select the location you want the eboot to be saved
Step 3: Select the compression level, keep this at 9 unless your game dosent work, then try 0 instead
Step 4: Select gamesave ID, this is generated automatically
Step 5: Customize the eboot, more about this is explained below

Customize The Eboot

All the different elements are described in each section, all you have to do is check the box if you want to customize that element, and press the search button to go and find your custom graphics for the eboot
A great collection of images to use can be found here
http://popsdb.twystneko.com/

Select preview eboot... to see how your custom graphics will look on the psp screen

Once thats all done, simple hit go to convert the iso to an eboot with the custom graphics

You will now have your eboot.pbp and keys.bin in the folder you specified and will look like this...

Just place these 2 files into a folder and copy to the following location...
ms0:/PSP/GAME/%gamefolder%
ms0: is the root of your memory card
%gamefolder% is whatever your game is called, GTA for example

Once file is transfered it will appear beside the rest of your homebrew like this...

Happy playing!

Sorry man, I used it and I think I created everything fine. I am just waiting on my pandora battery to arrive Sad I made copies of FF7, all 3 discs, part of FF9, Front Mission 3, I just have FF8 and MGS to create and hope they work! I will let you know though!

Thanks though!!!

Yes, but only if you have a psp 1000 version 1.00, 1.50 or 2.00.  Please stop spamming the fourms.  If you do it again you will be banned.

I've been trying to convert my PSX isos to psp eboots and I've gotten them down to the eboot but I can't get the keys.iso file to show up.  Any ideas?

update: guess you don't need the keys.iso file on the psp.  I converted the PSX version of crono trigger and it works great.
