Welcome to the CNG Part 2
This is aimed at complete noobs
There is nothing wrong with being a noob just look
at team noobz! (I know they are not really noobs..

Tutorial: Internet

Ok, first the Internet ---->
To get internet, you'll need a wifi connection (wireless routers,
wifi hotspots, etc.) I cannot help you with that sorry Sad

1. Start up your PSP, and go to the Settings menu

2. From settings, navigate to "Network Settings" and go into that

3. You'll see two things = "Ad hoc" and "Infastructure" modes
-Ad hoc is for connecting with another psp through wifi

4. Choose Infastructure (connecting to a local wifi device)

5. Now you'll have to make a new connection so choose "new connection"

6. Name it whatever you want to and select "enter"

7. Now make sure you WLAN switch is turned on (on the top side of your
psp, switch it right if I'm not mistaken)

8. Now choose "Scan" which will scan for any wifi connections

9. If anything comes up, your in luck

10. Choose an access point (if it has security that's your problem)
-Choose the one with the strongest connection strength

11. On the next screen, choose whatever it was already on unless you
know what your doing, in which case you wouldn't be reading this Smiley

12. On the next screen "Address settings" just choose the default selection

13. Now is the settings list confirmation screen, continue on if you like it or
you really don't care and you just want to connect

14. Now save your settings and on the next screen, choose "Test Connection"

15. If everything goes well, you'll see the profile for your connection
If an error occurs, try moving closer to the wifi device to get a better
signal

16. If it worked then great your finally online! Cheesy

17. Now go back to the main menu and go to the Network menu
and choose "Internet Browser"

18. When it connects, you can press Triangle to bring up the browser menu
and customize it however you want it

I hoped this worked well and you got connected Smiley

Tutorial Flash
First of all, you need official firmware 2.70+
I'm not sure about custom firmwares though, it
should work on the recent ones.

1. First, enable the flash player  (if you have already or you just
bought a psp slim don't worry about it) by going to Settings,
System Settings, and go to Enable Flash Player

2. Have a .swf file (flash file) You can download these from
PSP flash game sites, or you can search google for a flash file
downloader (I like Orbit)

3. Connect your PSP to your computer and go into USB Mode

4. Go to the memory stick and navigate into the PSP folder

5. If not already there, make a new folder and name is "COMMON"
   - This is where you will put your flash files

6. So put your flash file in the COMMON folder (name it something
simple, like "snake" or "game1")

7. Disconnect and go into the PSP Internet Browser

8. Type in an address that looks like this to access your flash game:
"file:/PSP/COMMON/flash.swf" (replace "flash.swf" with your game and
be sure to include the ".swf")

9. You should be playing your game Smiley Some games are slow though
just test out different games

10. If you want some flash games:
I recommend Digiplay by digiplay Smiley go here
http://pspslimhacks.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=146&highlight=digiplay
Follow the directions of the readme for that. And give a hand for
digiplay and the work he put into that. Smiley

Tutorial Videos
To convert videos to PSP format, download this:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/3GP_Converter (3GP)

1. Have a video file.

2. Convert it to PSP format with 3GP like this:

    - When you download 3GP open up the folder and run "setup."

    - Make sure everything is in English. Now run "3GP_Converter."

    - Where the drop down menu is, select your video format.
(29.97 fps is good, and 15 fps is like a youtube video)

    - Locate your video file and drag it in the box where it tells you to.

    - When it is done, the newly converted video file and thumbnail file will by default be in My                        Documents,
 unless you changed the path.

3. Hook your PSP to your computer and open up the memory stick.

4. Make sure you see the folder "MP_ROOT."

5. If you don't see the folder "MP_ROOT" then make it.

6. Go into MP_ROOT, and make a new folder - "100MNV01"

7. Put your converted video file and thumbnail file (the two files that 3GP created) into that folder (100MNV01) and now you can watch the video on your PSP.

might want to update this, with CW3.71 m33-2 all you have to do is drag it into the VIDEO section on the root of ure MEm card.

I think you've been able to do that since 2.80 or something, but this is the traditional naming method.

when you initially run setup for 3GP_Converter, what is the best format to pick for the PSP? The psp setting itself? or is one of the 3gp settings better?

For the best quality, choose
"368x208/29.97fps/1500kbps Stereo/129kbps"
or instead of 368x208 resolution, you could choose
QVGA which will keep it full screen leaving borders on the sides

The flash file may be too big or use up too much memory on the PSP. Not all games are guaranteed to work with the PSP.
