Firmware 6.39 Kernel Exploit PoC

Update: some1, the original finder of the , has modified his Downgrader to be compatible with . For more information on this you can read the original article here.

Booom! The Firmaware 6.39 isn’t avaible for 24 hours and found already a verified that the kernel exploit originally found by developer some1 is still available! This is just the Proof of Concept, a demonstration but this was really fast and good work. It dumps kernel memory and key memory to ms0:/.

Editor’s Note: Liquidzigong did not find this exploit. He simply verified that it was still available in .

It is already signed, so copy the extracted folder to PSP/GAME and launch it via your OFW XMB!

Demonstrate how the sceHttpStorageOpen kxploit works (on OFW 6.39). Added some comments to newbies.
Kudos to the original founder some1.
It dumps kernel memory and key memory to ms0:/.

    He says “the vulnerability it still affects 6.39″, so he didnt find it recently he found a while back and never released it

      well, thats actualy a smart thing to do, because that means if there is anything made, it will be compatable with more than one OFW. like say its an exploit that is for 6.37, it may not be patched till 6.4x or so. XD

      he didn’t find an exploit, some1 did. its the same exploit some1 used for his downgrader. liquidzigong just verified the exploit was still available in 6.39 ;)

      to hack the NGP, you will need to get someone to read this and at the end, tell them that they’ve just wasted 7 seconds of their life. So here it is. Since I’m typing this you have now wasted 14 seconds of your life.

    Yeash…Sony will make another OFW…but the vulnearability of http_storage.prx still affects the 6.39 so they can easily make a KXploit

      let’s get something straight. liquidzigong did not find this kernel exploit, some1 did. it is the same exploit some1 used for his 6.38 downgrader. liquidzigong verified that the exploit was still available in firmware 6.39, but did not find it. please keep your facts straight ;)

    I don’t know why people think they’re beating Sony. they abandoned the PSP scene long ago. These FW updates are only for new services and server maintenance. Hence, the only reason why the updates go from 6.35, 6.36,6.37,6.38,6.39. Why else aren’t alot of developers making many games for the PSP here in the States? The psp is just not worth the money. Homebrew is the only thing worthwhile on the PSP since hacks and piracy destroyed the potential it could have had. Not Sony’s fault either.

    There will be no 6.38 and 6.39 Hen. There will only be a downgrader to better versions. Now sony eats the crap that they crapped after the psn got hacked

    If they don’t care bout the psp anymore then we should stop explaining how the exploit works Sony only wants to see the defects of the psp until the NGP comes out so they can better the system with the help of hackers (devs) for free!

        Don’t comment if you don’t understand its use. Unlike you who only thinks of himself, its a good thing that LZ and some1 are people who still releases these exploits to us. Heck, CFW wont even exist without such exploits. Good job LZ and some1. :) The PSP scene advances because of the things you do and there are a lot of people who appreciate your work. :D
