The team over at PSP-GEN have released a modified version of Red Squirrels PSAR dumper and have been albe to dump and decrypt PSP Firmware 4.05.
Nothing much seems to be new or changed in this firmwware (Suprise, surpise) But for those wanting to dump and decrpt Firmware 4.05 for whatever reason. Can download the new PSAR dumper below.

It don,t work ! it give me the 80020148 error mesage ! please repair it fast i need it ! the psp is not mine and it cant play his game( i have meke the 4.05 update and cant read the CSO file from memory stick )

pls any1 help me to play games(iso,cso) on my memory stick. i update my 3.71 m33-4 custom firmware to official firmware to 4.01 and i can’t play games on my memory stick. Or i can downgrade my version? And all
that i download on this site can’t run error message on my PSP. H.E.L.P

Hi there, I just made the upgrade to my PSP, and doesn’t run any game, no matter if it is .iso or .cso file, or even PSOne eBoots.

On MS make new folder (ISO) then add cso or iso file to play games. Make sure in m33 driver mode hit select for VSH menu. channge umd iso mode to m33 driver.

for the people that updates to 4.05 u cant play .iso .cso or ps eboots on officeal firmwire! you shouldnt have updated n now u cant play games untill someone finds out how to downgrade 4.05 so stop updatin!

if u tryed that n it didnt work then u got either wait till i guess dark-alex can hack it if not then u have to trade ure psp with some one that has a psp with a lower firmwire

Hey guys, I have a fat psp and version 4.05 software ive never hacked my psp(or anything for that matter) before its just a regular official psp. i recently stumbled apon isos and csos so i downloaded a game and got an error message. Im kind of short on money and thought it would be cool to get games for free. i have a 2 gb memory stick duo and really have no idea what a pandora’s battery or magic memory stick are. Can someone please help me?

o rite rite…. umm mostly he will the pandora hack which also hacks the 4.05 firmwire but i dont know if you cant so first try to see if u can use pandoras battery to hack ure psp…

so I had 3.71 then downgraded with the pandora battery. then my friend decided that it needed to be up graded like a dick. for some reason the pandora battery wont work again does anyone know why? does it just not work with 4.05.

i have upgrade my psp to 5.00 bt i cant played my download games i try using dumperer 5.00 bt it doesnt work n i also try to upgrade it to 5.00 M33 but when i try to upgrade it, its say ” This game cannot be started. The data is corrupted.” plz help mee….. In big trouble right now with my psp.

smart one you know have to wait till someone finds a way to downgrade that firmwire. You shouldnt have updated to 5.0.

OK. reading what most of you have written this pretty much sums it up.
A. YOU NEED TO HAVE PANDORA BATTERY TO HACK PSP (YOU CAN NOT USE CUSTOM FIRMWARE WITHOUT IT)
B. YOU NEED TO HAVE CUSTOM FIRMWARE TO PLAY .CSO’s and .ISO’s (downloaded games and movies or backups)
C. Join ww w . pspmod . co m (put it together) read the forums, read the rules, then post questions be patient and read what others have asked because perhaps there problem pertains to yours or the two have the same solution. Wish you the best of luck

From what i’ve read on comments before, you cannot play games on downloaded in the PSP with version 4.05? any of them? .. . i have the PSP Slime lite with the Version 4.05, but i have not tryed downlodind a game… i does not work on my type of PSP?!
