Update: 5th Aug. Just confirmed that this demo will be out in 6 days! Demo release date is set for the 11th of August and can be downloaded from PSN and the official Type-0 website. Users of the demo are given will unlock special summer clothing for the game’s characters. This extra can be carried over into the final version using save data.

The PS Vita might be on the way, but that doesn’t mean the PSP is dead. Not yet, there are still many good titles on the way this year. And one such title is Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Type-0 which is another exclusive Final Fantasy for the PSP liek crisis core was. Famitsu confirmed today that the demo know as Final Fantasy Type-0 “Natsubi” will be released soon as a freely . I pretty certain it will only be in Japanese but it will give you an idea of the game at least.

Its the Final Fantasy Type-0 demo that was shown at an Odaiba event in Japan a couple of weeks ago. The downloadable demo will differ slighty to this demo its reported. We will let you know once its released. In the mean time check out the above video of the demo in action at the Odaiba event.

    what are the other good titles for psp?sony has already killed psp lots of games were canceled like resident evil……most of the games were released only for japan….do you remember the year that crisis core released? for about one year no good games were made for psp.

    looking crap why they have to change every thin. final fantasy is already dead. final fantasy 7, 8, 9, were the best. perhaps one day they will go back to final fantasy 7 style.

      I remake of ffvii in HD with new graphics would be nice. But not on the PSP, maybe the Vita…

      Umm.. 7 and 8 are not the best. 5 and 6 are by far the best of the series. Final Fantasy is NOT dead, it just needs something that isn’t stupidly westernized like XIII. I hope they go back to their roots and make a job class based game or something. I love those the most.

      No, the Final Fantasy games are DEFINETELY not dead. And FFVII wasn’t even that good. Final Fantasy IV was a hell of a lot better than FFVII. The FF games are not played for the thrill of killing things (not saying you said that) but for the thrill of sharing emotions with the game, such as sadness or happiness. The games FFX and FFVII Crisis Core were both the best games I have ever played. Both had their times when I experienced happiness and the main emotion I experienced was sadness. In terms of emotion and character development FFVII had very little and the only real “sad” part of FFVII was when Aerith(Aeris) died but even then it wasnt that sad. I’ll admit it was a good game but it provided no challenge whatsoever for me and I beat it (literally) 4 times (Each time after the first out of boredom). So DON’T say Final Fantasy is dead. Because it isn’t.

    squaresoft games really are awesome. Though graphics are not that much appreciated but the story plot gets the game going. Looking forward to this.

      Are you kidding? Graphics from square always look awesome even on PSP. Heck, even the ones on DS look cool. They always make the most of a system.

    Game’s kinda crappy, imo. Camera is horrible, target lock-on is ruined (srsly, they did it just fine since Crisis Core, and now they ruin it on their last PSP title?) and overall the animations are unnecessarily “stylish” and the overall controls could have been handled worlds better.
    Also, they’ve bloated a gameplay demo with cutscenes, how stupid is that? <____<

    i tried to play this demo, the camera was pretty much annoying but the graphics were awesome, but i can’t understand it. Hope that Square Enix will release a us version. Maybe the camera will be fixed in the full game.

    I hate people who think the new FF games are bad… It’s not as good as 7 up to X but it doesn’t deserve the bashing the haters are giving it!
