FATMS driver patch for 5.00 M33
Dark_AleX has released an update to the FATMS driver, which stopped working in 5.00 due to a sony file changing its name. What it does is help speed up slower memory cards such as Lexar brands.
Instructions: decrypt 3.71 using psardumper (square option).
Copy the file fatmsmod.prx in the root of memory stick.
Copy FATMS371 to /PSP/GAME or /PSP/GAME5XX. Run the program and done.

Back up flash0 before applying this patch. Having applied it my PSN bought games stopped working (error message 80010013).
ISOs worked fine and load times were significantly reduced.
I unpatched (by reinstating original flash0 files) and PSN games now work again.
For now, I wouldn’t apply it if you plan to buy games from PSN.

Didn’t know anything like this was available. I have a Lexar MS and have sometimes thought to myself, “gee this sure should be loading faster.” Gonna give it a try.

This should help found this on another forum:
I have a little problem concerning the FatmsMod in 5.00 M33-3. I extracted “fatmsmod.prx” from the official 3.71 firmware, moved it to the root of my memory stick, ran the patch normally from the XMB, it went just fine, then my PSP rebooted itself and now it won’t run at all. I turn it on, the power light turns on, screen stays off and it turns off by itself after a few seconds. I can get to the recovery menu though, holding the R trigger when turning on my PSP, however I cannot execute GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP, the screen goes blank and my PSP turns off again after a few seconds. It looks like I’m screwed, the “fatmsmod.prx” was probably corrupted, I don’t know, but now it looks like I can’t read anything from my memstick, what should I do? What CAN I do? Please help me

EDIT:
Citar:
For all the ppl who semi-bricked their psps
Recovery doesnt work not even using Hellcats recovery,
Just use ur pandora if u have if u dont shame on you
I think the culprit is if you use fatmsmod.prx with a size of 94.1 KB (96,432 bytes) which is
encrypted/compressed.
The one that worked for me was the fatmsmod.prx with 186kb unencrypted
I think D_A should block the use of the encrypted version…
Anyone can confirm this, cuz i bricked mine using the 94.1 KB file.
Crap, I did use the encrypted version… great, now I’m fucked because I don’t have a pandora battery. Why the hell does it even start patching with the smaller fatmsmod.prx? It does say it works with decrypted AND encrypted (unsigned) one. God damn.

EDIT2:
Citar:
Download the decrypted fatfsmod.prx 186kb from somewhere (think someone has posted it in this thread) and Toggle Flash0 from recovery. Rename the fatfsmod.prx to fm371.prx and paste it in the kd folder overwriting the old one.
Thank you so much Torch, this actually worked. However when I confirmed “toggle flash0″, Windows came up with some kinda error (using Vista 64bit), and I couldn’t see the “kd” folder in Explorer, but when I tried to create one, it said there already is a folder by that name… So I renamed the 186kb fatfsmod.prx to fm371.prx, moved it into a folder “kd” I created on my desktop, and then moved the whole folder to flash0 and when it asked me if I want to merge folders I clicked yes, then it asked me if I want to overwrite the fm371.prx, I clicked yes once again…
And now it works again, sweet! You’re my hero.

Will this work with the Photofast Pro Duo Converter adaptor with two 16 gig Sandisk Micro SDHC cards on CFW M33-6?
