Spikersoft has added and interesting thread in our forums for those that are looking to get custom firmware on there retail PSP or looking to unbrick a PSP. No Custom firmware is required to create the magic memory stick and you can even use your own retail PSP Slim battery like a Panadora battery to put the PSP into service mode.

    When people use the term Slim, are they referring to all Slim models? Or are they just talking about the PSP-2000?

    I picked up the Silver Daxter pack last week with the hope of being able to play some of my PSX games on it. It’s labeled as model 2001. Is that going to be a problem for me getting these new FW.

    Any kind of info or links would be greatly appreicated. Cheers.

    slim is a term used for anything to do with the redesigned psp model whick includes psp-2000 psp-2001 etc etc

    I have the gray psp with 4.0 can you help me find the cheapest way to go to custom firmware im just 12 and cant buy much but i think i can fix the battery to do what i need to
