Easy 6.20 DualBoot – Choose which firmware boot

Coder Rinnegatamante has released the 6.20 Easy DualBoot, a homebrew that will allow us’ to use both CF and Hen permanent bearing on PSP 6.20.

Tested and compatible with PSP (all) in detail:

PSP GO datecode 9C
PSP 1004 datecode 6D (Mobo TA-086)
PSP 2004 datecode 7D (Mobo TA-085v2)
PSP 3004 datecode 8C (Mobo TA-090v2)
In this version of Easy 6.20 DualBoot 6.20 OFW does not work but it will be implemented in the next update.

Instructions for use:

Insert the PSP and seplugins folders in the Root of the PSP
Install the CF6.20 TN-D
Disable Flash0 Protection from Recovery Menu
Install 6.20TN-D Permanent Patch
Start Easy 6.20 DualBoot and Extract vshmain
Uninstall Permanent Patch
Install the CF 6.20 PRO-Bx
Install Permanent Patch
Start Easy 6.20 DualBoot and Extract vshmain
Uninstall Permanent Patch
Start Easy 6.20 DualBoot
Install the modules for DualBoot
Press the START button and turn on the psp, the appearance of the window choose whether to use a CFW / OFW / HEN
Press and hold X + O + SELECT + START to reset the file vshrin.prx (ms0: / vshorig.prx)

    Dual boot with 6.20 TN and 6.20 PRO?
    The only difference with this CFW’s is that 6.20 PRO has an integrated ISO loader. Both used TN’s exploit.

    hey any one can send me a installed vshorig.prx (mso:/vshorig.prx) because i had delete my vshorig.prx and when i rebooted my psp i pressed select button and hold it then click on 6.20 pro my psp then black screen appeared and and again i restarte my psp i pressed R triggir they doesnt show recovery menu only when i pressed and hold select button they showdual boot meny plzzzzzzzz help me..

    this is great really but i think i just read around the forum section about dualbooting actually bricked a psp… don’t know if this is that dualbooting that guy was talking about.. but still , this is great.. more like showing us more things a dev or programmer can do..

    WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?! i used this it dint work..o format my psp go…its in official firmware and wen i turned it on it dosent terne on…and wen i press the start button the dualboot thing to choose the tn,pro or 6.20 ofw appears…and it dosent do anithing elseee……….wTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its the 3rd psp go that gets damege…. screw hacks <.<………….im sadd O.O dammet..

    WHAT’S REALLY SAD IN THIS SITUATION IS THE DEVELOPER IN THE README FILE STATES THAT IT WILL NOT BRICK YOUR PSP. WHAT I AM GETTING FROM HALF OF THESE COMMENTS IS THE OPPOSITE. FYI TO ALL THIS CAN BE DONE WITHOUT THIS APP. YOU JUST CANT MAKE THEM PERMANENT. WHICH I THINK IN MY OPPINION MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM CAUSING THE BRICK. SAVING A FEW SECONDS BOOTING UP SHOULDNT BE WORTH THE RISK. BUT WHATEVER I’M JUST ANOTHER NOOB. =D

    i format my psp go and the dualboot option appears
    and i cant boot the 6.20ofw,6.20pro,6.20tn….i dosent boot those firmwares
    i it dosent have a perma patch =(

    I think that most of you guys having problems with it didn’t install it correctly. That tutorial is VERY confusing. I guess soon as the guy made it, he threw it out to the public. But look on the bright side. It was FREE.

    Normally, I try to help out noob’s & discourage flaming & spamming, but this is the whiniest thread yet. The directions are very clear. Since half of the people bitching in this thread can’t spell, I’ll just assume an equal number can’t read either. I’ve done this on a 1g, 2g, & MY 13 YR OLD DID THIS ON HER 3G without any problems. If any of you actually did get a brick (doubtful), it was probably user error. This works great, not perfect, but great. If you manage to brick with this, go get a NDSL & a flashcart, so you don’t have to think to update something. This App is based on Perma Patch code. Remember Total_Noob saying screw making a Perma Patch after a single brick (not that I blame the guy for that, I probably would’ve too), just think how much more work it had to be to not only add support for two existing Perma patches but to adapt the Perma Patch source code for this Dual-booter. Now this dev is working towards support for TN-E. I would say that maybe if he accomplishes that, some people might try it before putting it down. I kinda doubt it though.

    By the way….RESTART/REBOOT NOT FORMAT. THAT WOULD BRICK IT ANYWAY!

      ummmm i installed the duelboot on my psp go..but the option to boot the pro b5 and the tn D din’t appear sou i format my psp to do something else..but now the option to boot the cfw appears but my psp dosent have the recovery prx and the other thing..can i fix it…pliz tell me if i can fix it

    JUST GET A FRIEND’S PSP OR ANOTHER DAT HAS 6.20 PERM. THEN AFTER DAT GET UR MEM STICK DAT U HAV DA DUALBOOT ON AND INSTALL IT AGAIN THEN PUT DA STICK IN UR PSP THEN HOLD START WHILE TURNIN ON AND INSTALL PRO THEN CLICK ON DUALBOOT APP ON PSP AND UNINSTALL IT

    Just in case this had not occurred to some, check your plug-ins. Just cause xmb won’t boot doesn’t mean you have a brick. Disabling some or all of your plug-in’s might let xmb boot right up. Not all plug-in’s are compatible with TN-D & ProB. Figure out which once the problem is & don’t use it anymore.

    Guys need help badly,

    I installed 6.20 tn -e perm and then 6.20 pro b5.I did everything correctly and it worked just fine but 6.20 tn-e didnt work.so i accidentally deleted the dual boot folder from seplugins.Then when i switched it on the boot loader menu comes , and when i start any of the firmwares it does not load.Plz help urgent

      Just add to seplugins/dualboot. Mine is from a 2g model but I don’t think it makes a difference with this. It certainly can’t hurt anything unless you try to add to Flash0.

      TN-E PermaV2 isn’t supported yet but I hope it is soon :)

        Correction: TN-E is supported on 6.20 DualBoot Rev.B. I haven’t tested it yet, but I’ll return later & let everyone know how it turns out.

    How to unistall easy dual boot??Can you guys at least gimme a recovery.prx file for this???

      If your username is the firmware your on, use hellcats recovery flasher you do a backup. Go on your stick to flash_backup/F0/vsh/module & copy the file _recovery.prx. Once you have it where your want it, rename it to recovery.prx. That’s your TN-E recovery menu now. Same as ProB & fully functional. It’s always good to make a backup of whatever firmware you use, just for little files like that. :)
