Davee's 6.31 & 6.35 to 6.20 Fw downgrader.

Davee has released a signed 6.31 & 6.35 to Firmware 6.20 downgrader for those that want to switch from 6.31 HEN or 6.35 HEN to use Total_Noob’s 6.20 TN HEN. Downgrading is risky business, so remember if you do decide to take this path and downgrade. We’re not responsible if you brick your PSP!

One thing to remember 6.20 TN-D is on the way, this will have POP’s support (PSX) 6.3x HEN developers may or may not be adding PSX support in later releases…

6.35/6.31 -> 6.20 Downgrader By Davee

[What does it do?]
Allows users who are incontent with their firmware to downgrade to 6.20 using the Sony Updater.

[How do I use it?]
Copy the “PSP” folder to your PSP. The downgrader is “signed” and can be launched from OFW XMB. You need to copy the 6.20 update to PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP and for PSPgo it must be the eflash it is placed on. After setup run the downgrader and follow the onscreen instructions.

[What does it technically do?]
It uses the utility/power exploit to gain kernel access and reboots into the updater with a special PRX running. This PRX uses the pspdecrypt functionality to decrypt the updater PRX when needed. This allows the updater to boot in the newer firmwares.

  the SRC folder is for developers.
  if you don’t know where to put it, that means you don’t know how to use it, so you don’t need it.
  all the user needs is the PSP folder. just forget about the SRC folder.

I have a 3001 psp, it came with 6.30 so I upgraded to 6.31 and tried to use the program, it didn’t work.
so I upgraded to 6.35 and tried it, and now it says “PSP 08g not supported” and shuts down.
What does it mean, and what do I do?

When i was downgrading i was like “holy shit should i be doing this?”
then when that message said “im am not responsible for you psp click X to continue” i clicked X my heart was beating so fast i couldnt stand it. Then it shut off i was like “oh shit i fucked up” then i turned it back on and i was like “holy shit a blue screen” so i started clicking a bunch of buttons then it shut off and came back on and i was like “holy shit it worked” oyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaa

I have a 3001 psp, it came with 6.30 so I upgraded to 6.31 and tried to use the program, it didn’t work.

Well, my battery on 53% and the downgrader don`t work.So, I play until it becom 48% and it run but keep saying battery is too low.I left the message there and searching for answer on internet and it run by itself after 1 minute of charging in that message!I hope it worked…and it …DOES!YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey..
can some one give me help…
i got a PSP 3004.. with 6.30 official firmware..
i upgraded to 6.31 and tried to use this donwgrader…..

i copied the update of 6.20 to the said destination folder..
PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP

and then i copied the RIPPED rar of the downgrader..
but then when i run it..

it DOESN’T work..
it said “PLEASE WAIT”
then the unit sudenly shuts down..
damn..

BTW..
when i download the RAR file of the downgader..
then when i extracted it..
three files came out..
1) PSP/GAME/Downgader/EBOOT.PBP
2)SRC <<<<<<<<< this folder i dont know where to put??
got me confused…
3)README <<<<<<<< the readme file

    try to run the program when your batteries are at 75% or 45% and 52%..
    repeat the process up to 10 times i guess..
    because when i did it with my psp..
    i tried it at night..
    then when it did not work..
    i paused and tried it again the next day and it work..
    in my first attempt it work out

  I never had any problems putting PCFW (Permanent Custom Firmware) on my PSP2000. So it really depends on what PSP model you have. From the looks of your post, it looks like you answered your own question.

Hey, I updated back to 6.31OFW a while after already using this, but now when it loads, it gets to “Please Wait…” and my PSP 3001 just shuts off, any way past this? Thanks in advance.

  It isn’t going to happen.
  You’re kinda SOL if you aren’t a programmer yourself.
  With this download I’m pretty sure there’s the source, you could probably make your own, if you put in the time and effort. But most people don’t have enough experience with a kernel (I don’t, for one)
  and I’m not exactly willing to brick my psp to make one xD
  If I had a spare, I’d willingly make one. But alas, you’re probably going to have to wait about 3-4 months before there’s a HEN for your system and firmware. My recommendations: DON’T UPGRADE.

I know this is probably a crapshoot, but has anybody with a 9g PSP-3000 gotten this downgrade to work? I don’t want to risk it unless I know for certain somebody has. I know people are saying that if your psp came with 6.30 it can’t be done, but others are saying it can. I just want to be dead certain, otherwise I’ll just happily stay on 6.31 PRO until something better is released.

if you encountered please wait then you need to charge your psp until it is 71% and up

Dear people, please read comments and the post itself.
To fix the “Please Wait…” error charge your battery.
And this downgrade works for ONLY 6.31OFW AND 6.35OFW
If you get the MD5 Checksum try downloading it from THIS SITE.
Most outside-links down’t work.

I have a question. Reserves the psp go after the hack the slide feature with the clock? and what else changed when I downgrade to 6.20? because I will buy one soon. and I would then immediately downgrade.
