New info is out that the PSP-3000 will feature an LCD screen with a response time that will be twice as fast as the current PSP models. Which means less ghosting and color bleeding. It will also have an LCD five times the current contrast ratio and double the color gamut.
This is all nice, but is it worth throwing your old PSP-2000 in for a better LCD and a mic?? - We think… No. Unless Sony still have something up their sleeves in regards to improved battery life or an added feature.

I think I’ll be keeping my PSP-2000 over this model, not worth the extra 169 bucks.

I noticed in Namco Museum Battle Collection that there’s an option to mitigate ghosting, and it makes a huge difference. Who knows, it’s probably built into other games. So in a few cases at least, ghosting’s already a non-issue. The new screen would definitely help with emulators, though.

why do i read this all the time “improved battery life”?
whats wrong with the way the slim works? I use a “stamina” battery and it gives me roughly 11 hours. Is 11 hours too little for you guys? I think its just fine, you end up charging your phones more than you charge the psp.

Hm, I would actually keep my 1 week old 2000 over this one.
Though it wouldn’t hurt to have both, right?

this isn’t worth buying, i will be impresse when the psp camera comes out in stores with the psp, it would not be a suprise if three months later a new psp comes out, and sony will expect you idiots to continue buying it

uh, the psp 3000 has less battery life because of the higher quality screen. i think that the psp1000 is the best to homebrew with, because it has everything that the slim has,(besides thew ultimate screen)and it has an iR
