The wait is finally over! Dark_Alex has released DCv6, so we can all relax (a little) regarding the new TA-088 mobos wreaking havoc in the CFW scene… Also, the new version allows you to boot from the memstick as well as a new interface! Changelog after read more.

(Despertar del Cementerio “Universal Unbricker” v6 - 739.1 KiB - 6,489 Hits)
- Now installs 4.01 M33-2
- Change of core. Now it uses 4.01 M33 core. This fixes some TA-88 crashing because of 1.5/3.40 kernel. Note that there are still other kind of newest TA-88 which cannot boot DC at all.
- Gui of both installer and DC itself changed to a xmb looking one.
- Added the option “Test M33″ which boots 4.01 M33-2 from the memory stick.

YEAH! I waited so long for this! =D
Although, I just got myself a new PSP Ta-088 yesterday, and it installed CFW fine with DC5, but this should come in handy.

I never knew there was an unhackable motherboard out there. I guess Sony keep on trying.
August 11, 2008 at 3:55 am
dunno if I have an unhackable one, someone pm me on the forums.
pandora battery shows all signals of being pandora’d, i’ve used psp grader 005 to make my card a MMS with success but when I put both together with the ac cord in i get an orange light with no white letters. i was told to press and hold x for a few seconds but that does nothing, neither does holding down the L trigger. it sucksors.
anyhow someone message me back, the PSP is about 2 months old, don’t know how recent the v3 motherboard was released, hopefully prior to my purchase

It depends on the motherboard, this will not work on TA-88v3 this works only on 4.01 firmware, but if you have a motherboard older than TA-88v3 you will be able to hack it with other custom firmware! This is not for your situation! (the e-mail i wrote is a fake)
