Datel have told Portable Video Gamer that Sony is taking legal action against their lite blue tool. The tool advertised to be able to hack the PSP-3000. This answer came just after Portable Video Gamer asked Datel why the Lite blue tool was removed and later the description changed.
Datel’s response:
Due to legal action by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe we are currently not able to fulfil orders for the Lite Blue Tool Battery. Any orders received for this product have not been processed and no charges have been made. We will inform customers about availability of this product when this situation has been resolved.
So why is Sony taking Datel to court? Purhaps Datel did infact crack the PSP-3000 and natually Sony wish to put a hold to it. Maybe copyright infringement? What do you think?

As I told you guys before.
Datel’s “Blue tool” was a scam.
Have a good day.
January 15, 2009 at 12:18 am
looks like you were right all along but no one listen to you were sorry man.
January 12, 2009 at 12:40 pm
Interesting! The tool doesn’t even work. This is actually kind of funny; Datel rips off some hacking code from individuals in order to make a device that supposed to hack the PSP and doesn’t-ans Sony sues them for it?
I wonder why?
January 12, 2009 at 1:07 pm
i thought sony & datel had made a deal for datel to say psp 3000 could be hacked so more people would buy it, making sony more money
guess not
January 12, 2009 at 2:56 pm
Stop saying the blue tool doesn’t work! It puts the PSP-3000 in service mode which is one step towards hacking it!
January 12, 2009 at 3:00 pm
No, it doesn’t.
It claims to be able to do so, but as DAX said, it was a scam, and doesn’t work.
January 12, 2009 at 7:36 pm
Well now. Znupi says it works, Dark Alex says it doesn’t.
Oh the dilemma! Who to believe?
January 12, 2009 at 8:35 pm
Imagine if it really did work, but Sony have put an end to it?
January 12, 2009 at 8:57 pm
I said this would happen exactly the way it happened on a forum in Dark Alex website. They were hoping for a hack by the time they were ready to ship that fancy looking pandora battery but now they have to give all those people there money back. Too many pandora batteries being sold right now and all of a sudden your battery is single out. DO NOT EVER TRUST DATEL PEOPLE.
January 12, 2009 at 11:30 pm
So true so true
January 13, 2009 at 12:47 am
DO we even have confirmation about legal action. Or could it be an elaborate excuse after promising a PSP3000 hack, and failing.
January 13, 2009 at 1:37 am
Why sue over something that doesnt even work? Sony didnt sue over the red battery.
Sony does the darndest things doesnt it?
January 16, 2009 at 3:38 am
They sue because they don’t like it when we use the PSP the way it wasn’t “designed” to be used… and they want it to stop… and for copyright reasons… DAX is the only right person on this Forum… here goes everyone getting their hopes up for the PSP-3000 to be hacked… when it just came out… its gonna take awhile
January 13, 2009 at 2:54 am
Well it’s all very interesting, isn’t it? I am 100% positive that the hack for the PSP 3000 and the V083 motherboard have already been discovered and most likely who has discovered it have a flamethrower up their ass from Sony with mega threats of being sued if they released it. I bet you that Datel was successful at it and Dark_Alex has it already!
Penny for your thoughts!
January 13, 2009 at 6:40 am
I think the whole story is made up. I’m waiting for concrete proof that Sony actually filed for legal action. Until then, us discussing it is pointless.
January 13, 2009 at 10:14 pm
Man i knew there was something fishy goin on at the begining cos the psp – 3000 is unhackable and always will be for now, because that was very soon after the release i thought it might take more time and has, so there you have it ( lucky i didn’t buy one, but i have my good old psp -1003)
January 14, 2009 at 1:30 am
F*CK THIS
January 14, 2009 at 6:29 am
Now that sounds more like the real Dark Alex!
January 14, 2009 at 11:09 pm

January 15, 2009 at 1:01 am

duh?
January 17, 2009 at 6:24 pm
I think Sony may have sued them because they were lying to their customers. Datel was probably making alot of money and Sony didnt care at first because it was funny to see that everyone was buying the battery. Sony may have then seen that they were making loads of money even though it had been confirmed a scam and took them to court.
January 18, 2009 at 1:31 am
lol wow i cant belive all those people trusted datel and got riped off of their money. but its not 100% scam it works only PSP-2000 and PSP-1001 but not PSP-3000.
January 18, 2009 at 8:51 am
Oh I’m sure datel will burn in the depths of hell for this.
January 18, 2009 at 9:21 am
so wht u all say, which one is better of our lifes……… psp 3000 or psp 2000?
January 19, 2009 at 8:46 pm
Anyone could clone Dark_Alex’s name (Like I am now). The Sony legal action is true because the battery does what it’s supposed to do, but without booting it to Pandora menu
January 20, 2009 at 8:02 pm
Umm I don’t think that is dark_alex first of all because we all knew this was BS a few days after it was announced.
January 25, 2009 at 1:13 pm

January 25, 2009 at 8:08 pm

January 26, 2009 at 1:54 pm
wait wait wait!
Sony won’t sue Datel without any solid reasons right?
Maybe the lite blue tool really did work and Sony got pissed off and sued Datel’s ass?
or Not? hmmmmm?
January 27, 2009 at 3:49 pm
I think is not posibel to hack PSP 3K , now i don“t know whats the true , because some people say CAN BE HACKED and other people say NOT POSIBEL TO HACK !! ! ! send an mail if are posibel ! ! !!
January 28, 2009 at 7:54 pm
Isnt it annoying when people pretend to be other people so some more other people will listen to them more?
February 1, 2009 at 6:59 am
go to the website of datel they changed it you cant hack psp 3000 for now it says it puts psp 2000 in service mode and it works like a normal battery for psp 3000 i really wanted it but i ogt psp 3000 my mom telold me why to buy the old one xD im not kidding im trying like a dumb ass
February 5, 2009 at 2:21 am
lol
February 7, 2009 at 11:14 am
many of us still hoping to see any proof of Datel being sued by Sony (fuk sony) for this said reason..
I think that will settle everyone down
April 10, 2009 at 6:57 pm
Good..it’s about time datel gets sued. For one, their batteries cost alot, and two, they’re a scam.
July 7, 2009 at 4:42 pm
all it is now is the “max power digital” which is no different than a pandora battery which you can make yourself. its right for them to get sued, selling something that you can make for free.
