The new TA-088 Motherboard/CPU issue has been examined, and DA is working on it! The problem seems to base from not just the new motherboards, but the new CPU’s being installed. Some TA-088s can be flashed, so it’s kind of a gamble at this point. Dark_Alex has stated that the problem has to do with the core of Despretar Cementario runs off of 1.50/3.40, something that evidently the new CPU’s can’t handle. A new version of Despretar Cementario will not be realeased until they have remade the Core.

As you might have already seen, there are some mobos (TA-088 ones, slim models) in where the IPL used for Despertar del Cementerio, Pandora and Time Machine therefore, doesn’t work.
IPL can be still run from the Memory Stick, but just those that are signed by Sony, and not the ones that contain a different signature; a problem that will probably block the actual way of running your cfw’s, as you couldn’t even load on this NANDs the custom IPLs with different signature.
Even though, IPL is not the problem, but probably the mixed kernel of 1.50&&3.40, and it will be the best option to use a new kernel on Despertar del Cementerio future versions.
So, to sum up, new Dc version will not be released till the new Core and interface is finished. Please be patient
So there you have it folks, the new DC will be created, but not until they do some serious changes to it.

These PSPs with the new mobo are not selling very well. Profit margin is very low. People kept on returning them once they know it cannot be hacked. Putting limitation on these new PSPs is suicidal on their sales margin, especially in this dire economy.
Sony needs to leak out the IPL encyription or whatever they put preventing it from being hacked. I guess they don’t care if their sales profit is dropping. It’s heading for a cliff.

Too bad for me. I bought my PSP too late. i have a MoBo Ta-088 v3 and THAT SUCKS!!! If I one day can hack my psp I will be very happy.

I have the TA-088v3 as well. I’ve been waiting for so long to get this hack. Man, if i hadn’t waited to get a psp, I probably would have had one of the TA-088v2 or 1.

It looks like the coffin door on the psp 4.01 hack is pretty much nailed down. Get ready to bury your psp that has new mobo. It is useless. There will be no hack. If there were a hack I would have given you folks a progress update long time ago. I don’t want you folks to wait on false hope.

recently i thought to buy psp but after knowing it cant be hacked i bought xbox 360(modded).i m sure sony psp sales will go down and sony will fuck its idea of ipl encryption or what so ever.

WTF is wrong with Sony? Why put IPL encryption crap on their PSPs when we are in a rececession. No one will buy it once they know it cannot be hacked. There is no incentive to buying this hardware.

I GOT A MADDEN PSP-2001. WITH MOTHER BOARD TA-088. I HACKED IT IN A EASY WAY. JUS BUY A PANDORA BATTERY OR USE YOUR FRIENDS PSP TO MAKE YOUR BATTERY, PANDORIZED THEN YOU CAN USE A SPARE BATTERY AS A NORM BATTERY AND THE OTHER ONE FOR PANDORA. GOOD LUCH GUYS!

i don’t think using the custom firmware thing is not a good idea for madden edition because madden edition psp system can’t take the high standard graphic games such as god of war.
i played the god of war demo yesterday. well it kind of freeze when you in the big field or when you climb the ladder thing. one time almost bricked. i think psp can’t take the graphic and all kind of stuff. if you will using the custom firmware stuff, i guarantee it will brick easily.
this is just my opinion.

Defeat<—– Oh really now? What about this new PSP OFW 5.03 TIFF Kernal Hack that MaTiAz made? I just downloaded it today and even though its helloworld only, it means that all 5.03 psps can be hacked without problems in the near future. And one more thing, if Dark Alex had quit the hacking attempts to slimline 2000 & briteline 3000 versions, he would have posted it officially on his website only, not here or any other site. Think guys, think ok? btw defeat, impersonate Dark Alex again and you may find yourself on the short end of a lawsuit. Just a bit of advice ya?

I have a 2001 slim, with MB TA-088, it had 3.90 as the original firmware, this info im looking at in PSP Tool V0.90….. so its running CFW fine.
i have 5.00 M33-6 on it as of now.
did i just get lucky in that i got one that is mod-able? it funny, cause i bought it off a kid last weekend who said it DID NOT work at all. he said his mom spilled coffee on it and fried it. so i gave him 20 bucks for it.
i get it home, plug the charger in, turn it on and BAM, it boots! 100%, i get one of my sons umd’s and put it in and BAM, works, again 100%……
two hours later i had a CFW PSP 2001….. id always wanted to do my sons, but didnt want to screw it up, this 20$ find opened a whole new dimension to PSP’s for us!!!! best 20 bucks i spent since i was 21 yo and i got a BJ from that hoo…..er forget it….:-)
anyways, i guess i just got lucky?

There is a custom firmware loader, that works in conjunction with the chickhen-mod which enables all slim’s with the TA-88v3 boards to LOAD CFW! It does not install it, but loads it into memory. It is not for 3000’s it states yet, but I’m sure that may be soon as well…
THIS IS CONFIRMED WORKING on my previously unhackable slim… I have installed and played my backups fine (ISO/CSO) I still haven’t figured out how to get pops working correctly for my PSX eboots though…
