    First Comment!!! LOL.
Great work!!! Now playable with OFW.
I wonder why SONY keeps blocking this kind of achievements, instead of
selling this type of games on their PSN???

    • Ascender

Because Sony doesn’t own the rights to the N64 console. If Sony let Nintendo emulators be run and then sold games, even if they have the rights to the game, Nintendo can sue them on the grounds that Sony is enabling and encouraging piracy of Nintendo software.

Thats why emulators and roms are not sold by companies. Microsoft or Apple could include all the emulators and roms in their OS but that would also let them be liable for lawsuits.

Emulators can be downloaded easily but no legitimate company will sell you roms.

Sony cant sell Nintendo software and vice/versa, not to mention that the developer companies also have a say in this.

The only way this could happen is if Sony and Nintendo sit down and come to some kind of agreement, but im not holding my breath on that one.

Explain emulators on the Apple’s app store & Google’s android market, what’s the difference there with game consoles?

      • Ascender

Sony and Nintendo are more competitors then Nintendo and Apple or Google. Nintendo could just be saying no to Sony while yes to the others.

Besides, playing an emulator on a PSP is not the same as on a phone. PSP has better controls. But thats just personal preference.

Google any deals Nintendo has had with Apple or Google. There has to be one or they are opening themselves up for lawsuit.

If you want an example take a look at MS Office. Apple had its own word processor but you couldnt find MS Office for a Mac until Microsoft said it was ok. Intellectual property is alive and kicking.

After such sh#tty security measures, they KNEW,KNEWWWWWWWW,that eventually there would be a security breach, yet they ignored it…Now a lot of people are potentially screwed….The least they can do is let us run our beloved emulator’s, the bastards….Sloppy work Sony..I’m REALLY gonna enjoy my emulator’s and ROM’s you Jerks

    • HaloFreak

  • paul_kaiser

i know this is not the right question for this topic, but i wanted to ask if there is a way to unbrick a psp-3000 that has been bricked from a power interruption during firmware updating? please guys i really need some help, thanks.

    • Gerardnr

You can try send it to sony if your covered under warranty but not sure if your case is covered but i have never checked. Just tell it stuffed up when you were updating don’t say something like i accidentally took out my battery when it was updating

  • ven1x

I think they should just make nice optimized wrappers for games that run full speed….like Super mario 64, and i think F-zeroX will run at full speed with some adjustments. That would make stuff faster and a lot more awesome…kinda like the PSone Classics
