CXMB for Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-A Beta
PSPGen have released CXMB for Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-A, while its still in a beta stage it will allow 5.50 GEN-A users to use CXMB CTF themes. Its an unofficial version of Poison’s CXMB. It also loads the CTF themes without touching your PSP Flash memory, which is risky.

if u have a psp 3000 or a 2000 with a v3 mbo DO NOT UGRADE!!!!! this gen-a is only for phat and some 2000 psp’s

DO NOT UPGRADE 2 OFW 5.50 or 5.51, no hack currently available, CFW 5.50 is fine if you wanna upgrade but not OFW!! i am still regretting upgrading and waiting for a way 2 get from OFW5.50 on a psp 3000 to CFW!

Sorry guys i know i’m not supposed to post this question here….but as this is the latest news so picked this one out..
I have GEN A on my PSP 3k …. everything is fine now except that i cant load the vsh menu….i think it is disabled…how do i enable it?? PlZ help out….

There’s a vsh_recovery.txt (I don’t remember the exact filename but it’s close to that) or something in your ms root.. Just delete it..

I’m not that noob….i flashed the files over and over again…..even checked vsh.txt (which contains ms0:\cxmb\cxmb.prx 1 and ms0:\seplugins\vshmain.prx) so is there anything wrong in that…… i used to have a recovery txt file in my root folder….but now it isnt… would help a lot if u helped me….thanks anyways

i had this problem i just made the xmb speed to default first load the cfw again quickly press select and xmb speed to default

i cant get it to work
-I have the (ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx 1) on the vsh.txt. ( with the plugin to)
-just to be safe i also did(ms0:/seplugin/cxmb.prx 1)
-i have the approved CTF file that was mentioned in the CONF.txt
- i went in to the memstick and replaced the files that the old CXMB uses, with the new ones.
it dosen’t work. so whats wrong?

i think they should concentrate first on making a custom firmware for 5.03 that resides on the psp flash then hack 5.50 firmware and andpat the flash firmware its alot easier

OFW 5.50 came out very close to the arrival of hen and gen-a. If you were more keen on the playstation network than the hacking network, then you eventually became screwed. That’s what happened to me. i bought another psp, so all is good. BUT if some people here actually had read that ofw 5.50 cant be hacked and then updated to it and then ask if ofw 5.50 is hackable? then they make me laugh

I’m able to use CTF Themes in PSP 3006 – using unofficial CXMB for HEN-A and CFWE. No brick.
I am using the CTF themes from my PSP 2006 M33.
Easy and safe. Just search for the unofficial CXMB for CFWE beta. All instructions are included.
