CXMB for 6.20 TN-A Released

There is an old saying in English that “when it rains it pours” which seems to be true in this case. Just off the fresh release of the 6.20 TN-A release, an Asian developer known as Patpat has released a version of the popular plugin (Custom XMB) compatible with 6.20 TN-A. This plugin will allow users using the to install custom .ctf themes instead of the regular old PSP theme or other official themes.

The only downside to this plugin is that themes made for 5.XX firmwares are no longer compatible, and since the plugin was just released there is only one compatible theme at this time, so if you are not a Parasite Eve fan, we’re sorry to say you are out of luck at the moment.

Here the instructions for enabling the CXMB plugin:

  • Download the CXMB for 6.20 TN-A plugin below
  • Extract the contents of the download and copy the CXMB & seplugins folders to the root of your memory stick or internal memory
  • Open (or if this is your first plugin, create) the vsh.txt file and add this line: ms0:/seplugins/cxmb.prx 1
  • Download the compatible theme and place it in ms0:/PSP/THEME
  • Reboot your PSP and reload the HEN. The plugin should be enabled automatically and the theme should be displayed

    I can’t shutdown my psp 3k with this either, it must be a bug.

      Ya me too. Can’t shutdown or suspend device :( Alright if your always charging but its a pain if you want to save your battery.

    need more ctf themes… this one is cool n all but whats the point of having a theme of a japanese game when your american lol.

    The support folder in the cxmb is empty and when i loaded the contents in the root folder then restarted the vsh but the theme doesnt appear in the settings
