CXMB for 5.00 M33 released
Homebrew developer Poison has released an update to CXMB his cfw plugin which allows users to load custom CTFÂ PSP themes. And all from the memory stick and not the flash memory so there’s no risk in bricking your PSP. This release add’s 5.00 M33 support, nothing else has changed.

3zzz……. You can’t run any homebrew on the new psp-3000 yet. I believe that it’s because of the TA-90 motherboard. I’m sure that there’ll be a way around it though. I mean Apple don’t make PSPs lol. So you can’t run ISOs on it or anything like that.
GO CXMB. lol. It’s a very nifty plugin. You can show off to your friends and say, hey I got themes that can move about. lol

so will this work with the old cxmb themes I have or do I have to wait for new ones?
October 28th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
If you put this (or try to) on a 3000 will it brick it??? Has anyone tried?
October 28th, 2008 at 9:08 pm
at 3zzz, It probably won’t do anything.
October 28th, 2008 at 10:59 pm
Damn, I just want an emu! I also don’t want to brick my psp as there’s no fix for the 3000’s. Hopefully DA or someone figures it out soon!

dammit, after i apply the theme it turns off and boots the default theme (psp 1001 fat)

November 1st, 2008 at 6:46 am
great i’ve already figured out why its not working. my psp is now on cxmb mod… the problem is that the ctf file were installing is not compatible for new version… ctf file is specific for every cfw.. hope this helps…
November 1st, 2008 at 2:16 pm
hey man is there any way to download & instal cxmb directly through the psp(slim 5.00 m33).
November 4th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
thx
November 10th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
could someone add link to some ctf’s that work for this version of cxmb?
November 14th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
Just to clarify a few things… This plugin works fine with 5.00M33-3!
The ctf’s of previews versions of cfw DO NOT work with with it. You have to find ctf’s that are conpatible with 5.00!
All you have to do to make this plugin work is copy the three folders that are either in the “full” folder or the “lite” folder into the root of your memory stick. Then go to recovery menu and activate the plugin.
If you have ctf’s in you theme folder that activate them. Here’s the link where you can get ctf’s for 5.00M33
http://www.consolespot.net/psp-themes/
And 3zzz the PSP-3000 is still not hackable so just have a little more patience.

Umm i feel dumb, but whats the difference between the full and the lite version?

For all the PSP 2000 users…I have cfw 5.0 m33-3 and it works. I had a problem getting them to load at first. 1) You copy the CXMB folder with 3 files to the root of your memory stick. 2) copy the vsh text file into the seplugin folder. 3) Make sure your theme is set to Original and then restart your PSP (It didn’t work for me until I did this). 4) Hold your right bumper as it starts up and then go into the plugins and turn on the cxmb plugin and exit out. 5) You have to have 5.0 ctf’s and you just put them in your PSP/THEMES folder and you can choose them in your themes folder, just like a normal theme. I hope this answers some questions or concerns. PEACE!

I just wanted to say something on the PSP 3000 being hacked…..It’s said that Datel had created the battery that can do it. Check this out - http://gizmodo.com/5092898/datel-lite-blue-tool-hacks-the-psp-3000-with-a-battery
