Weltall is back with a quick update (Its been a while!) This version has been rebuilt with toolchain and updated to included the latest cheat database. So you’ll find cheats for most of the new games present. It also has a new (beta) refresh functionality he wrote over a year ago! That’s now included too in this release.

Don’t know what CWCheat is? Well its a universal cheat system / plug-in that can apply certain cheats to almost every PSP game out there. Similar to GameShark codes etc. It also has many other extra features too.

CWCheat 2.3 Changelog:

- rebuilt with latest toolchain
- updated db to latest version in the site
- there is an cheat refresh hz functionality but i coded it one year ago so i’m unsure if it works and how it works right now
- consider this an untested beta

      I’m using the same psp and cfw and it’s working… i didn’t find any bug or crash yet

        it need to be shut down completely
        then won’t the PSP3000 go back to official CFW??

    Tested this on PSP 2000 5.03 GEN-B with GTA Liberty City. Unfortunately it crashed/shutdown my PSP when I activated the cheat codes :\.

      The same thing happens to me every time I’ve tried to load cheats, although i was able to make it work one time.

        We don’t know your problem.
        All I can say is, read the instructions and make sure you’ve done everything right. If you don’t know how to use plugins, Google on how to.

        I’v done everything right…. i have followed the instructions …and i now how to use it but for some reason it just wont work

        Well let’s see… i’m going to tell you what i’ve done to install it:
        I’ve extracted the rar and the i opened the folder CWCHEAT_0_2_3\INSTALL\seplugins,
        inside this folder was another folder named cwcheat. I copied it into the seplugins folder on the root of my MS. Then i opened the game.txt file and writed the following line:
        ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1
        after that i did the same with pops.txt, only the plugin name was different:
        ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheatpops.prx 1
        saved everything, started a game, holded select for a couple of seconds and voilá… cwcheat menu appeared :D

    After many tries I got it…
    I’m using a PSP3001 with CFWEnabler 3.60 ( mainly because 5.03 GEN-B is said to crash with patched games, with are most of my games) and I use the hud plugin as well…
    My trouble was when I tried to add the ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1 to game.txt in seplugins,
    it did show in the plugin menu of CFWE as [GAME] only, and when I activated it and left the menu it would deactivate itself… what I did was to copy the game.txt from the install folder of CWCheat(not the 3.71 one) and them add the hud line under it…
    as below:
    ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1

    ms0:/seplugins/hud.prx 1
    note that a strange caracter displayed as a square comes after the .prx of the cwcheat line…them in game hold select and the cwcheat menu will show up…hope it helps!

    please someone help me, i did everything i was told, i searched all over google and youtube and yahoo answers and did excactly as i was told but it wontwork, i bought the psp when it first came out!
    please can anyone help me???

      If you want our help you should at least provide us some information like your psp model and what fw or cfw you have….
      Assuming you have cfw, did you take a look 4 posts up?

        ok, i did what u said and it still didnt work,
        System software: 3.71 M33
        i have never did a system update ever since i bought it, i’ve tried everything but it sill wont work!!!!!

    hmm i seem to be having the same problem:
    got a psp2006 on 5.03, with chickhen and cfw 3.6, and working with a remotejoy plugin
    i got the cfw to detect the cwcheat,
    and in the plugins settings in the cfw they show something like
    cwcheat.prx [game] on
    remotejoylite.prx [game] on
    cwcheat.prx [pops] on
    remotejoylite.prx [pops] on

    but i can’t access the cwcheat menu after i boot up a game.
    i had to drag out the contents of the C:\cwcheat 2.3\INSTALL\seplugins\cwcheat folder because if not there won’t be the plugin detected at all… in any case, whether i took out the files from the folder or not i still can’t access cwcheat menu
    help anyone?

      Well if you are enabling the plugins from the cfwe menu it won’t work… In order to work you need to enable them adding the required lines that i posted above in the respective txt files… you can use any text editor to write the lines.
      open game.txt and write:
      ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1

      then opne pops.txt and write:
      ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheatpops.prx 1

      after saving everything it should work, if not i’m afraid i can’t help

        well should i open the folder game or game.txt because game is like a text document and game.txt tells me to find a program over the internet so id what to do!

        Open the file game.txt… instead of selecting “find a program over the internet” as you said
        select open with an instaled program and select notepad for example. Or you can try right clicking the file and then select “open with” and then select notepad

        i did exactly that; and i can only enable plugins from the cfwe because that’s the only way my psp goes into recovery mode [pressing R while rebooting don't work on mine]

        it was successful when i added remotejoy plugin because likewise i had to add the additional “1″ behind the text; but it don’t seem to work for this…

    Hey I’ve got this installed correctly, but whenever I enable cheats, it just crashes my psp. I’m on 5.50 gen d2 and was trying to cheat Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron. it actually worked for me the first time, but crashed on all my other attempts. Please Help!

    MY CFW 5.50 GEN D3 PSP 2000 slim

    I followed the instruction properly and correctly, but my problem is when I used it during a game, I hold the select for 3 times. the menu pop out.. I enable cheats, and [N] dump function, usb, and remaPSP

    [0]CPU Frequency
    [0} BUS Frequency

    [255]Reload Cheats Database
    Setting is by Default

    BUT NOTHING HAPPENS… I PLAY CREED ASSASSIN and NBA LIVE 10

    Ok. so i’m not great with computers and i can’t get cwcheats on my psp. it says my system software is 6.20. ive tried getn the cwcheat file onto my psp and even used winrar but whenever i turn on the psp and hold the r bumper it wont bring up that screen. i,ve been trying to get it to work and have done it 3 dif ways. is it because i don’t have a cfw?? plz help cause this is driving me insane and i really want these cwcheats for monster hunter freedom unite!!

    when i go to my recovery menu in gen-c, i cant find my game150.txt under plugins section (i need to enable it)
    i added it in the seplugins folder in my psp, set the vsh text properly (added the 1) but i still cant find it…
