CWCheat 0.2.2 REV.D for 6.20 TN HEN

CWCheat has been ported to over to 6.20 TN HEN by Japanese dev Takka. So you now have the opportunity to do a little cheating too on your newly 6.20 TN (HEN) enabled PSP. Not sure why he didn’t port CWCheat 2.3, but anyway. Enjoy your first cheat device plug-in for 6.20 TN HEN!

The good thing is we’re going to see more of this in the coming weeks and all the better as the prx plug-in ports for 6.20 TN HEN start to surface.

The changelog or note from Takka doesn’t really make sense when translated from JPN to ENG. Its only one line so I’ve excluded this.

How to install and run CWCheat:

If you haven’t already make an “seplugins” folder in the root of your memory stick (ms0:/),

In the folder seplug-in’s, create a new folder called “cwcheat”

Place the extracted cwceat prx file from the downloaded archive and move it to the “cwcheat” folder

Still in the “seplugins” folder make 2 text files. One game.txt and the another game150.txt

Now in these two text files copy and paste either:

“ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1″ for PSP-2000′s and PSP-3000′s (Without the quotes) or

“ef0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1″ for PSP GO users using the 16GB internal storage.

Download the latest CWCheat DB file below and move these extracted files to the cwcheat folder

You can then run 6.20 HEN or restart the VSH if your already running 6.20 TN HEN

The CWCheat menu is then opened in-game by holding select for more than 3 seconds!

To Install Make An New Folder on the Root of Your PSP Name It seplugins
Get The Cwcheat.prx and put it in there,
Then make a text file name it vsh.

In the vsh text file put this:
ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat.prx
GO USERS ARE :
ef0:/seplugins/cwchat.prx

DO THIS FOR EVERY PLUGINS!!!!!

hey guys i have 6.20tn hen i am trying to play naruto ultimate hero 3 and i did the seplugins thing khhb thing or watever it name and i look on you tube how to do it but it does not work is it because tn hen does not support this pluginns to play the game i am waiting for anyones replay.

Well what you have to do is hold select if you installed it right when playing the game during time when it (IS NOT) loading,saving, etc. Also make sure everyone updates their Cheat data base

I’m just having trouble accessing the recovery menu, I’ve held these combinations restarting through “Restart VSH” : R | R + L | R + Square | R + L + Square | and so on and so on. What’s the trick to get into that darn recovery mode? I’m running PSP3006 [3G] 6.20 TN-A (HEN)

This is really great news for the pp scene. It does beg the question though. What does 98% homebrew compatibility mean when all the homebrew have to be ported?

It worked for me even if it’s was for the other ver. People need to know how to put it in their PSP and how to make it work. Advice to whoever puts the HB and Plugins up, Please post HOW TO on them. Just like the HOW TO for TN HEN. this way it avoids a flood of “HOW DO I GET THIS TO WORK?!”

Ok, in the seplugins folder create a game.txt file and put:
ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat.prx 1
in there, save and when in game hold select

For psp gos, if you have a memory card, when loading homebrews this makes it not work for some reason if anyone knows how to fix this please tell me I really need help. Again games on the internal memory run fine but when cwcheat is activated it won’t play games that are on the memory card. Thanks in advance for your help.

In the seplugins folder

You make a cwcheat folder put the cheat DB and the cheatprx file in it

Make 2 different txt files (do not put them in the cwcheat folder) game and game150

For go users in those 2 text files put ef0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1

so it should look like

seplugins
cwcheat folder (inside the folder is the cheat DB and the cheatprx file
game (text document) (ef0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1)
game 150 (text document) (ef0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1)

I hate this. All the threads about TN Hen is cluttered by noobish questions and foolish comments. Even a noob like myself won’t have a chance to find relevance amongst the hundreds of posts. So before this thread gets cluttered I tell you this:

Hacking a PSP is not something you take lightly, do proper research before you post here!

Even I could read about how to install and operate CWcheat 2.2 or 2.3 from somewhere else instead of asking about it here. Something this easy should not already take up a third of all the post here.

Lastly, cudos to Total_Noob, Wololo and Psp fan for this site, plus everyone who contributes to this scene.

Why does homebrew from my memory stick always crash when im using this? Homebrew on my internal memory work fine…..btw I’m using a PSP Go-N100. I have even tried putting the seplugins on my memory stick yet that doesn’t work either what should i do?

is there anyway to revert back to TN-A? cause when i updated to TN-B, cwcheat stop working.. i tried replacing the hbl file but even if the firmware says 6.20 TN-A, the cwcheat still could not work.

Did anyone who got it to work have to restart their psp and have to enter recovery mode, that seems to be the step im missing Since my CFW is only temporary it deactivates when the psp is shutdown and needs to be manually re-started to use after the psp restarts. I can’t enter the CFW recovery menu during restart because the CFW doesn’t turn on until after restart. how do i fix.
