Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10 Released.

3.10 Released.

Xenogears and becus25 of the dark-alex.org forums have released Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10, this update features improved flashing and uninstalling system and also has an added Spanish language setting. Custom Firmware Enabler loads M33 CFW via ChickHEN, so ChickHEN R2 is required for this. And a PSP with 5.03 Firmware.

How to enable POPS in 3.10, First download Firmware 5.00. Start PSARDumper and decrypt the 5.00 Eboot. Now Copy the “pops.prx” and “popsman.prx” from the F0 directory to your memory stick under PSP/GAME/CFWEnabler/Pops. And then “Enable Pops Support” from Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10.

Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10 changelog:

  • Improved flashing system, it’s now much safer.
  • Improved uninstalling system, it’s now much safer.
  • Added Spanish language.
  • Added Net update.
  • Improved startup (now a little faster)
  • Reduced the file size of EBOOT.pbp
  • Fixed internal bugs.

    to install this version simply copy/paste pops and eboot found in the zip (replace the old one)
    run app and flash + start
    that’s it

    as for running ps1 games (pops loader) look for the tutorial in the tutorial section

    Good work guys! I think I’ll stick with Gen-A, it works on my 3k just fine (though I have issues with psx games XD). There’s suppose to be an update to Gen-A soon! Keep up the good work though guys, great stuff.

    Well I’ve tried this time and time again, with no luck.
    I have a PSP 3000
    Motherboard type :Brite (03g)
    Motherboard model :TA-090ov2
    PSP version : Brite v1.0
    5.03 ofw
    I use ChickHEN R2, which works as i run emulators etc…
    And this method doesnt work i keep getting the following
    “unsupported firmware version detected please poweroff PSP”

    will i have to constantly run chickhen whenever i turn it off? it gets annoying when i have to run chickhen, reboots, run gen, reboots again, then i can play my game, is this permanent?

    this is how I got ps1 working
    after 80000004 i made it!!! i dont know how at 100% but try this , take the pops and popsman that you got from the encryption in f0/kd , cope paste them to your desktop, switch to flash0 mode in the cfw2.50 setting, go usb , in the kd folder of your flash 0 , put the 2 file from your desktop and voila, i think it was an error or copying i dunno , but this worked from me a direct copy paste, so tell me if it work for you guys !

      Now is not giving me a 80000004 error code, but the screen goes black and device crashes. Any idea?

    Just use GEN-A…. It’s much easier… You just install and you can play ps1, iso, and cso games without doing any other stuff…

    what can i use to hack a psp 1000

      Use Install CFW without Pandora. It’s on the site and you will also need to run Chickhen to enable the flashing of thoes files. It’s easy.

    Is this a perma flash? like if my PSP shutsdown do i need to reinstall it everytime?

      You would have to run the chickhen envirment againg. And just star the CFWE, not re-flash, you will then get a start option.

    I think you need to make an installer on how to uninstall pops on flash0.. These are the common problem we encounter when we use cfwenabler..

        There is a way, just got to be carefull, and is not recommended at all. But if go into CFWE settings, config, put it on usb mode: “F0″. Then go to your computer folder options and uncheck the hide protected system files, your psp system files will be exposed and if you know what you are doing you’ll be able to do slight fixes. But like I said. only people that know what they’re doing should mess with this.

        My problem is when i turn my computer to show hidden folder it always go back to its default settings which not allow me to see the folder/files on flash0.. I dunno why, can somebody help me on this problem?

    Guys I need some help, everytime i go to save/load ISO/CSO/UMD games my psp just go freeze and then shut down. Anyone knows how to fix this problem, i really need some reply here. Thanks

    *sigh* just when I finally got CFW for my PSP, it dies on me… good thing I still had the receipt & warrenty.

    Basically the batteries won’t charge, I was too lazy to check whether the problem was the charger or the battery… I’ll just send it in for free repair… if they can’t fix it, I get a new PSP3000 :P lol.

    3.01 is better than this T_T theres no recovery menu in vsh and settings in the installer doesnt show all plugins also, theres no mac spoofer >.<……

    PSP Friendly note:
    use custom firmware enabler ’3.01′ not this…
    and dont use GEN-A also….3.01 is better..

      dont use this if you dont want to regret…T_T once you install this you cannot go back to 3.01!!!!!!well, you can install it but it updates to 3.10!!!

    Still having no joy getting this working on my PSP3003, everything looks like its going well, untill the final reboot, where i get an unsupported firmware error. Anyone else getting this ?

      The installation goes fine but it says unsupported firmware

    Whats the difference between running this “Custom Firmware Enabler 3.10″ or running “5.03 GEN-A”. You still need to run both through Hen r2 right?
    Whats the advantages/disadvantages?

      there actually exactly the same but runs on psp 2k as well because in pspgen they said that cfwe Xenogears and becus25 copied the moduals in gen to their cfw

      don’t thank the they copied the moduals in gen to their cfw maybe added support for 2k but ist the same as gen

    im using PSP 2000 ta88v3 mobo..
    i succeed get it to 5.03 m33 using CFW Enabler 3.01
    but when i shut it down it reset back to OFW..(hold the power to shutdown)
    i have to re-hack it again..
    i only can put it on standby mode (push the power only..not hold)
    how come?

    Wow, I can’t believe you guys would rather want this than Gen-A. Gen-A FTW.
    You don’t have to go through a big ass process just to play ISOs, in Gen-A, all I had to do was convert the ISO to an Eboot and it works just like that.
